The place is getting a little tired

Good festive evening and good food.

Extended weekend stay in August, a pleasant stay with good food and entertainment. Arrived on Friday and Saturday morning for breakfast, the old innkeeper told us about the sights in the area and what excursions there were, this was very useful information which we made use of. We thereby got a good experience of the sights of the Tønder Marsh. Saturday evening there was entertainment with live music Sunday morning we experienced black sun a few hundred meters from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the place. We only gave the room three stars, although it was nice and clean, it had an old smell.

You can't get a Wiener schnitzel better than here.

If you are looking for nostalgia, an experience of a lifetime and if you can laugh a little at it all, Rudbøl Grænsekro is the place to visit on your trip across the border. Rooms that could use a paintbrush after years of swatting mosquitoes and flies and a dust broom in the corners, doors to the floors that beep so that even the deafest will regain their hearing and bathrooms that are a relic from the 1980s. But lukewarm water with fine pressure was there, and 1 bottle of white wine in the room for newly arrived guests. The network coverage is lousy, but it's good that there are 2 Danish channels on TV and a lot of German ones. Otherwise, you have to talk to your fellow traveler 😂 The drinks are cheap. DKK 85 for a drink, in a large version, from a well-stocked selection. The food is approximately ok, not much to complain about, unless you expect D'angleterre. Grandma's food/old-fashioned chroma food is served here. Unfortunately, you have to look for vegetables for a long time, both in the morning and in the evening. Lovely fresh breakfast bread. No bake-off here. But the service is fine. 3 men at work to serve many guests at one and the same time. The beds have nothing to complain about. And birdsong just outside the bedroom window at 0445, is a wonderful thing. If you're into history (the former innkeeper likes to share anecdotes from the past), this is the place. Enjoy

Weekend stay with dancing. Really good food and super good dance music. The place is a little tired, but it was clean and nice.

Somewhat old-fashioned room, where the bathroom in particular lacked something, almost no water pressure in the shower, the dinner was fine but could use a little more for breakfast
