Maybe because I wasn’t expecting much but I found the food to be superb. As others have mentioned the bread was light, crunchy and full of flavor. The mackerel with herb oil was perfectly cooked so the oil balanced out the fishiness. The goat cheese with peaches on crostini was well balanced. Cacio e Pepe was good but not astounding. Overall with excellent service and wine, I would return. It’s unfortunate that the outdoor seating is so awkward but alas!

The best dinner experience we had in Copenhagen. We tried the set menu: the price was reasonable, everything was tasty and aesthetically pleasing. If you are not going for the food then go for the drinks because it was one of the best Negroni my friend had (and also the wines).

Great food and relaxed atmosfeer and service

Safari was actually one of the more non-memorable food experiences I've had in Copenhagen for quite some time. The menu itself is great. There are a lot of interesting dishes, and we actually started with cocktails. Both mine and my partner's were absolutely delicious. Really one of the highlights of the evening. After that we had some snacks. We ordered the bread and some olives. I'm not really going to judge the olives because they're obviously sourced rather than made in-house, but they were great. The bread, however, was incredible. I would expect them to bake it themselves, and honestly it was one of the best parts of the entire dinner. Super airy, great crust, sesame on the outside, just absolutely delicious. Then we had the tartare, served on a bed of Trapanese. That was also really good. Tartare is almost always good, but some places do manage to mess it up. This definitely wasn't one of them. We also had the crudo with tomato vinaigrette. Again, very nice ingredients, but it just didn't do much for me. It felt a bit underwhelming and lacked complexity. The tomato vinaigrette wasn't really powerful enough to tie everything together. After that came the polenta with confit chicken and peas. Really delicious. The polenta was great and the chicken was cooked perfectly. But it almost felt like a really good home-cooked meal. That's obviously not a bad thing, but when I'm eating at a restaurant like this, I'm hoping to be a bit more impressed. Then we had the agnolotti with veal, pork, and chicken bouillon. This was probably my favorite dish of the evening. The clear broth was absolutely delicious, and the agnolotti itself was excellent. Really, really good. But again, one dish wasn't enough to carry the whole dinner. The reason I'm probably a bit disappointed is because I've been to their sister restaurant, Omar, which is honestly one of the best food experiences I've had in Copenhagen. I came here expecting something on that level, and it just wasn't. That's not to say Safari is bad. It's definitely not. But for me it never really became exciting. There weren't many dishes that I would think about afterwards or specifically come back for.

Lovely place to eat and delicious meal!

The food was delicious; a nice combination of interesting textures and delicious flavors. The waitress did a great job; she was attentive, friendly, and hospitable. Go there!

Not bad, but not good. The food was very special, and nothing to shout hooray for. But the waiters were nice, and otherwise excellent service

Mixed pleasure. Delicious, flavorful food, with the house three-course menu. But it is a restaurant with a high noise level, so if there are more than two people who need to hear each other, you have to speak loudly. Unfortunately, it also seemed that the staff was not quite able to handle a full restaurant. The extra drinks that we tried to order a couple of times were not followed up on. In addition, the waiter forgot to serve our dessert, so when the table suddenly had to be used for a new booking, we were given the dessert in a hurry and barely 15 minutes to eat it before we had to leave the table. Unfortunately, this spoiled the experience, and meant that coffee and drinks for dessert had to be done elsewhere. If you are going to come again, it should probably be on a weekday when there are not too many guests in the restaurant. Then I think it could be an okay experience.

Solid foundation and really cozy place. The people behind this place just have things under control. Always worth a recommendation

Spur of the moment choice. Love the atmosphere here, with old school hip hop the theme of our night. The wine list was great and varied. The food was tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. My favourite was the anchovy with tandsmør because one can never have too much butter. Can recommend if you’re looking for tasty food and good atmosphere near the lakes.
