San Remo Helsingør

Real Danish home cooking, always eat there when we visit Helsingør.

Cafe or restaurant is probably too fancy to call the place, but cafeteria fits the bill. 3 open sandwiches and 1 draft beer or soda of your choice 139 DKK. The cheap, but straightforward way to call hand-made food open sandwiches. I would describe our pieces as hand-made food and not open sandwiches. The neighboring table, their fried pork it was not fried invitingly to be called original Danish fried pork. The service was perfect, the young ladies were smiling and quick at their job. But remember. There are other places in Helsingør that serve the same as you.

Food was extremely average, atmosphere and personnel was better but self-service was kinda disappointing

Even though the restaurant is called San Remo, the "dolce vita" there is truly Danish. We ordered smørrebrød and were very satisfied, both with the food and the friendly service.

We treated ourselves to potato soup with bacon – the soup of the day. Very tasty, well-seasoned, and homemade.
