Skovby Kro Sønderborg

Went with family for dinner. Adults had the house speciality of steak cooked on a hot granite block. The steak was very tasty, perhaps the tastiest steak I've had in Denmark. The steak is served with potato croquettes AND a baked potato which I found strange, but Denmark is behind the "Potato Curtain" (a line that stretches across Europe roughly between Germany and France that separates "Potato Europe" from "Tomato Europe"), so maybe it's not too surprising ;) There were FAR too many croquettes, and they weren't very tasty, but the baked potato was delicious. The small salad was unremarkable, but tasty. The child had a kiddies burger and fries which she thoroughly enjoyed. We washed it down with some lovely cold beer and all-in-all it was a very pleasant meal. Staff were friendly, the place is clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was comfortable.

Aftensmad skulle vi have og valget faldt på skovby kro….. Kroen var travl selv på en onsdag i juni….. Betjeningen var god og maden var god og ærlig kro mad…. Kroen Jan absolut anbefales 👍🏼😄 Lba
