Skovgrillen Hillerød

EDIT Unfortunately, the new owners have not managed to continue the high quality. Too bad too bad, it has become standard grill food. That's why now 2 stars instead of 5 EDIT 2 Came by with the family and we were hungry so we stopped, it's still not as good as when Frank ran the place but I actually think it had become a little better than when the new owners had just taken over. So that's why they get one more star, so 3 stars. The picture is from the last visit

They make amazing food at this classic grill bar!

Probably the best Burger Joint in Hillerød Food wise. They have a Nice selection of simple classical home made style burgers on the menu plus good and fast service. Only negatives are the parking facilities can be hard to find a spot on the few available slots at times but it's always worth a visit for me once in a while.

You absolutely must try the Flæskestegssandwich. The crust is wonderfully crispy and everything is very juicy. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Cozy place and the right atmosphere for an old school pork joint on the ring road. All decent suburbs have one like this. Got their pork roast sandwich, and was far from impressed. Now add a decent spoonful of okay crispy cabbage, and now stir in a decent mustard mayo. I think it was the owner himself who was there today. Not exactly a cheerleader or a service guy. Nor is the fast pace that catches your eye. I won't be back.

If you're from Ålleren, try the large roast pork sandwich. It's good!
