We had a delicious ‘catch of the day’ dinner (hake) and our waiter, Alexander, was incredibly personable and did a fantastic job describing the meal preparation. The apple compote desert was excellent. Overall, absolutely worth the price and felt like a very authentic Danish dinner in a cozy setting by the water.

Great food, staff very friendly!

We had lunch there yesterday. The service was impeccable and super sociable. Our server, a very friendly man with a great grasp on as well English as German 😉. We choose the Saelhunden lunch menu and found it just wonderful. (We got a great explanation of what we were about to eat, calm and very clearly.) Highly recommend!

A small restaurant with a small menu, but freshly cooked food. The food was really very tasty. The staff very attentive and friendly. The restaurant offers a very cozy atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant in Ribe. We ate Herrings and Fried Plaice. After 1 week in Denmark this is the best plaice we have tasted. The owners said the fish is fresh and everything is homemade, and as good as it is, it must be so. Fully recommended. We didn't test the desserts because we were full, which is a pity, because I'm sure they should be also as good as the rest of the menu. Price is also good, 2 beers, the herring and 2 plaice were just around 550DKK

Bra från början till slut. Trevlig plats, mycket trevlig personal, väldigt trevlig lokal och dessutom oerhört god mat. Återvänder jag till Ribe kommer jag att återvända hit.
