Four of us ate there.
I can't judge Danish cuisine in general due to a lack of experience, but for what we got and paid, the food was okay.
It may be better than other restaurants.
For us, it was pretty average.
A wonderful, cozy little restaurant right on the harbor. Very friendly service. Reservations recommended. We were a family of four and had fish and meat. Everything was delicious. I had sardines as a starter and was initially surprised when they came in a can. But they were delicious with butter and marinated in olive oil. A well-stocked international wine list. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thanks to the Saelhunden team.
A cozy restaurant by the harbor in Ribe. A manageable number of seats, traditional local cuisine, expertly prepared, and friendly service. Not cheap, but reasonably priced.
Probably the nicest restaurant in town, even with a bit of a curt service. Book well in advance, they accept bookings by email if you can't call them.
The crab soup was nice, but the bread came after we were done with the soup. For mains, both beef fillet and fish pie were nice. And they have choice of local beer and port.
Recommended overall.
