The best smørrebrød I've had in Copenhagen. Service was exceptional. Reserve your spot on their website so you don't have to wait in line.

The cafe is very small and as a party of 3 we squeezed on a table for 2.
Service was good.
We enjoyed the smørrebrød.
Typical prices.
There was no toilet on site for customers.

This famous restaurant near Frederick's Church is very popular; you'll likely have to wait during peak hours. A dish costs around 75 kr. Both the taste and presentation are highly recommended. The only downside is probably the price.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. There isn’t a lot to say. Definitely suggested! The salmon and pickled herring tasted amazing.

A very small and charming restaurant. The smørrebrød is fresh and delicious. We ordered five different varieties and three drinks. The service was incredibly fast and the staff was very friendly. Everything was relaxed and uncomplicated.
However, the price is quite high for a sandwich, and unfortunately, there were no restrooms on site (hence the one-star deduction).

Cute little shop, friendly staff, delicious smørrebrød, but be prepared for the price. The two of us only ordered three open-faced sandwiches, while the menu recommends three per person. We paid €90 for this, along with two beers and a shared dessert. We weren't full, and there's only one vegetarian option.
I personally find dogs under the table in such a tiny shop rather unappealing, but I'm sure opinions on that vary.

The smorrebrod is at the heart of Danish culinary culture, so you have to try this lovely neighbourhood shop. Service was prompt and convivial, the sandwiches were pretty. Eggs and prawns went over the best with my family; the roast beef not so much. The herring sandwich was great. The smoked salmon was also nice. I would have appreciated a little bottle of Tabasco, to elevate the flavour, but this appears to be a chronic problem in Denmark: food runs bland.

I made reservations for eight people for lunch and we had a great experience. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and considerate throughout. It’s a tiny spot, so our group ate outside on the terrace, which was lovely. Service was impressively quick, especially for a group our size, and everything came out fresh and well prepared. The sandwiches were delicious, with great bread and generous, flavourful fillings. Simple food done extremely well. An easy recommendation for lunch.

Come and discover authentic Danish Smørrebrød. They're small snacks on dark bread, somewhere between a bruschetta, an open-faced sandwich, and a regular sandwich.
Okay, they're not cheap, but that's to be expected at any good Copenhagen restaurant.
However, here, the Smørrebrød are high-quality and made with care. They're practically works of art! 😁 Honestly, any tourist passing through should come here to discover a typical Danish dish. 👍
