Sushi Anaba København

An absolutely fantastic experience! It was a very intimate dining experience, and a fantastic way to get Sushi in a very simple and at the same time extraordinary way. It was clear that everyone working there, from the chef who was making the nigiri, to the one who presented the Sake, were deeply professional, and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere while everything ran like a well-oiled machine, the kind you would only see at a Japanese car factory. There is nothing to fault at Sushi Anaba, it is quite simply a complete experience that you should treat yourself to if you like Sushi! It is certainly not the last time we will go there.

A really nice experience at Sushi Anaba. The ingredients were not only fresh, but also incredibly beautiful and elegantly presented. The sushi rice was perfectly prepared and balanced. The aesthetic interior creates a calm and focused atmosphere, where nothing is left to chance. Sitting at the counter and watching the chefs work concentratedly and precisely right in front of you is an experience in itself. The only reason I hesitated for a second to give 5 stars is the wine menu. The sake menu is well thought out and appropriate, but it would be a big plus with an alternative wine menu for those who are not so fond of sake. You can of course buy from the bottle card, but I like to order the wine menu and taste something different tailored to the individual dishes (Anaba's non-alcoholic juice menu is also really good and better than most I have tasted). All in all, a fantastic evening that I can highly recommend. Of course, you have to be there for the sushi - but that goes without saying. Sushi Anaba is in a class of its own - and should definitely have a Michelin star.

Sublim - exceptionel - and yet so unbelievable simple! Sushi Anaba was everything we dreamed it would be. Guided by quiet mastery, chef Mads Battefeld crafted each piece with intent — not to impress, but to express pure, uncompromising perfection & tradition. We were blown away! Why this hasn’t 1 or 2 Michelin stars, is still a mystery, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is one of Copenhagen’s best food experiences!
