Svaneke Brød Bornholm

I went to Svaneke Brød a few years ago. I think about the croissants every day, and have made it a goal to find ones as good as this place. My mission has failed and I fear I will never taste the perfection of croissants again this place managed to produce. When I say that I think about them all the time, I am not exaggerating. I just spent the last half an hour on Google Maps trying to locate this place just to write the review.

Absolutely phenomenal and kid friendly service. The charming service we received cannot be beat. The bread and pastries are good.

There's probably a bit of hype, also through my travel guide "Glücksorte auf Bornholm". One of the few companies on the island with poor results in food law controls and the cinnamon roll was bread-like dry on the outside.

Of the bakeries we visited on Bornholm, this one was the best. Delicious sourdough bread and wonderful sweet pastries (especially sea buckthorn cake)

Svaneke Brød & Svaneke Blomster is a delightful combination of bakery and flower shop that shouldn’t be missed. The bread and pastries are homemade, ecological, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the sourdough bread, which was reasonably priced at just 34 DKK, and the hawthorn pastry. The pastry stood out for being perfectly balanced—not overly sweet—which I personally find refreshing, especially compared to many other Danish pastries. Right next to the bakery, you’ll find a beautifully curated flower shop filled with unique decorations and stunning floral arrangements. It’s not just a shop—it’s an experience. Whether you’re treating yourself or picking up a gift, this place offers something truly special. Highly recommend a visit!

Super delicious bread. Nice service that I could buy half a loaf as there are only 2 of us.
