Beautiful hidden restaurant! I visited it Thursday evening and it wasn't crowded, I got a table without reservation without any problem. Service and food is on top, menu card is short, but well composed. I tried oysters and ravioli. Definitely something to recommend if you are looking for romantic place for a date 🌹

We stayed at the Hotel SKT Anne, where this hidden gem of a restaurant is located. The included breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a variety of food, including pastries, cheeses, breads, proteins, yogurts and coffee drinks. Which were all very good. After a long day of walking the city, we decided to have dinner here. The dinner was reasonably priced, and excellent. The service was great. It was not very busy. The atmosphere is also very nice. You are surrounded by live plants. Very relaxed. If you want a break away from the crowds and have a nice dinner, this is the restaurant for you.

From the outside, this place doesn't seem to matter. But we discovered incredible attention to even the smallest details in the dishes. Simply, everything was magnificent and with incredible flavors. Truly unmissable.

I discovered this charming spot by chance while planning my trip to Copenhagen. Tucked away in the bustling Nyhavn neighborhood, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with warm, authentic service. We visited The Shrimp on a Tuesday evening, and the restaurant was not busy at all—likely because the weather was lovely and most locals seemed to be enjoying the summer evening outdoors before the rain returned. This gave us the perfect quiet setting to savor our meal. As a welcome from the kitchen, we were served complimentary shrimp tartlets—delicate, flavorful, and a lovely way to begin the evening. The fresh, still-warm potato bread with creamy butter was another highlight. For starters, I ordered the tuna tartare. While the tuna was exceptionally fresh with a beautiful pink hue, the dish could have used a bit more seasoning to bring it to life. My friend had the octopus, which I must admit I preferred—generously portioned and flavorful enough to serve as a shared starter or even a main. For the main course, I had a beautifully cooked white fish—moist, flaky, and perfectly paired with vegetables and a velvety white sauce. My friend’s beef dish was cooked exactly to his liking and looked equally impressive. All in all, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. If you’re in the Nyhavn area and looking for good food in a laid-back setting, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The Shrimp ist zwar ein Hotelrestaurant, aber das tut dem Ambiente keinen Abbruch. Im Gegenteil: der Innenhof bietet ein perfektes Ambiente. Küche sehr solide, es gibt nur Menü mit einer Auswahl pro Gang (1 von 3). Geschmack und Präsentation des Essens sehr einladend (siehe Foto mit Jacobsmuschel). Weinkarte okay. Service sehr aufmerksam.

Qué comida tan maravillosa. Compartimos raviolis de champiñones en un caldo de hoja de trébol de avellana, seguido de eglefino al vapor en una salsa de camarones, espolvoreados con patatas fritas de alcachofa. Absolutamente delicioso. Una de las mejores comidas que hemos tenido. El servicio fue excelente. Regados con una rosa danesa y Chablis francés. Bon appetit.
