The Shrimp København

The two of us went there for dinner - and everything was perfect! The menu was “manageable” and the portions were quite small... ... but that's the hallmark of top restaurants and therefore there are no deductions. In return, there was the very nice ambience (very high room, lots of living plants), the well-positioned staff (not too intrusive, but always available) and, above all, the fantastic food (we had salmon and duck) ... and last but not least, the reasonable ones Prices... ...with no room for improvement. Hence 5 stars

If you’re in Nyhavn, you definitely have to check out The Shrimp! This upscale restaurant is super convenient to reach and offers a unique atmosphere. Right when you step inside, you’ll notice it’s tucked away in a garden-like setting, complete with dim lighting that creates a romantic vibe. The decor is thoughtfully designed, and the seating is really comfortable. We decided to try the scallops, and let me tell you, they were a delightful surprise! The presentation was stunning—almost like a piece of art on the plate. The combination of flavors and the sauce was absolutely delicious. While the prices are on the higher side, my friend and I found it to be worth every penny. The entire dining experience was fantastic, from the ambiance to the quality of the food. So, if you’re looking for a memorable meal in a beautiful setting, I highly recommend The Shrimp. It’s perfect for a special occasion or a nice night out. You won’t be disappointed!

We were lucky to get an early dinner reservation on our first night in Copenhagen. We had our 7 month old with us and the wait staff was super accommodating and friendly about us having her there (we would have taken her out if she got fussy) especially since it was a super nice restaurant. The vibes were amazing with the tall ceilings, courtyard feel, and great lighting. The food was incredible. We had these potato focaccia rolls with lime whipped butter that were absolutely the best things I've ever eaten. Steaming hot. The cocktails were perfectly made. I had the hake and my husband had the beef tartare and we shared the scallops. Everything came out quickly and the service was friendly. Our waitress schooled us in saying thank you and thank you so much on Danish as well.

Excellent atmosphere and sufficiently intimate but with enough space. The service and food were top notch.

Very nice place; super welcoming staff; excellent dishes (especially the salmon); prices in the average for this kind of restaurant in Copenhagen. We hope to come back soon.
