Torup Spisehus Halsnæs

Lovely little place in the countryside with the craziest natural wine selection

How do you feel about food? Yeah, me too. Many visits, and all special. The food is grown around here. Thats not automatically a recipe for memorable meals. I can't say that the compositions here are transforming memorable. But I can say that the execution is professional and balanced in all the senses; fats, acids, textures, meal composition. The drinks list is a big step above others. It's not cheap, but for this area it's the best value we have found, and the best food, and the best service. So, you know, if you like that, you'll love this place. We returned 7 times. No variations from the consistent quality.

We came here to celebrate our elopement, and it was such a beautiful experience. We loved how the staff shared where each ingredient came from and the care behind it. The farm-to-table concept is genuinely brought here. Even when some items on the menu weren’t available at the time, the chef whipped something else and it was wonderful. Everything was thoughtful and delicious. Thank you for a lovely and unforgettable experience!🫶🏼

We had the best meal of our holiday here. The food was delicious, fresh and local and we were guided through it with a relaxed charm by the chef and waiter. The homemade kombucha was the best we’ve ever had and incorporated seaside botanicals for a lovely flavour. The whole experience was incredibly calming and we left with a sense of zen. The restaurant architecture is as simple and beautiful as the food and we sat indoors inside a sun trap with a fresh breeze. All in all well worth a visit but book in advance because it is popular in the evenings!

Super satisfied with everything

The food was really tasty. The service was great - we had a really wholesome evening. Thanks!
