Ved Kajen København

Despite its location in a tourist hotspot, the food was surprisingly delicious. Prices, as is typical in Copenhagen, were quite high. The service was friendly, but due to the large number of visitors (Lucia Festival), there was a longer wait. Highly recommended!

Right in the middle of the tourist trap, we stumbled upon what must have been the best bistro… Delicious food, great beers, cool atmosphere (outside), incredibly friendly service, and even affordable. We were really lucky!

The Nyhavn area boasts dozens of restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy a meal, especially in nice weather. While we were searching for a restaurant, a Turkish family sitting at a table recommended Ved Kajen Restaurant. We were so glad we did; the food we bought was delicious, and we had a very enjoyable lunch. We paid 600 Danish crowns for a very good meal and drinks for two. Including tip, the Turkish lira equivalent is around 4000 lira.

Delicious food on a popular street in Copenhagen. They have warmers, so even when it's chilly, it's nice to sit outside. The service is friendly.

It was our first time in Copenhagen and in this restaurant (we are French). Honestly, we were greeted by a very nice waiter who took the time to explain the typical Danish dishes to us. He convinced us because we ate very good dishes and desserts 😋 I recommend this restaurant to everyone 😇

It's a touristy place, so the prices are very high compared to the food. The food itself wasn't bad, but there's definitely better. The service was okay; at least the waiter who served us was smiling and courteous. The water we found at the table is always charged (40 kr). The atmosphere was pleasant.

The food was very good, but because of the weather we unfortunately had to sit inside, where it was quieter, dark, cramped and loud.
