Ved Kajen København

The Nyhavn area boasts dozens of restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy a meal, especially in nice weather. While we were searching for a restaurant, a Turkish family sitting at a table recommended Ved Kajen Restaurant. We were so glad we did; the food we bought was delicious, and we had a very enjoyable lunch. We paid 600 Danish crowns for a very good meal and drinks for two. Including tip, the Turkish lira equivalent is around 4000 lira.

Delicious food on a popular street in Copenhagen. They have warmers, so even when it's chilly, it's nice to sit outside. The service is friendly.

It was our first time in Copenhagen and in this restaurant (we are French). Honestly, we were greeted by a very nice waiter who took the time to explain the typical Danish dishes to us. He convinced us because we ate very good dishes and desserts 😋 I recommend this restaurant to everyone 😇

It's a touristy place, so the prices are very high compared to the food. The food itself wasn't bad, but there's definitely better. The service was okay; at least the waiter who served us was smiling and courteous. The water we found at the table is always charged (40 kr). The atmosphere was pleasant.

The food was very good, but because of the weather we unfortunately had to sit inside, where it was quieter, dark, cramped and loud.

We honestly just picked a random spot that had a fine menu as everything was crowded. The vibe felt off from the start. The prices are way too high compared to the food they are serving, but ok we are in Denmark, it is what it is. They were literally loading their terrace full with greed in their eyes. The drinks were put in our hands in a hurry and it looked like the staff would only smile if you spend the right amount of money. The people next to us were having quite some troubles with something on the bill and the couple behind us was flabbergasted because the bill was being thrown on the table while they were still chatting and obviously did not ask for it. : they had to leave. Other guests were in line and already told they could have a spot in a minute. We could hear and see some staff rushing to push people out and get new people in. It felt very uncomfortable.

The food is good, and the service and attention from the waiters are excellent. Plus, you're right next to the canal, so you can enjoy the views and atmosphere.

The food was amazing! The seating was way too narrow, making it hard to sit. When it came to the bill, we were forced to tip, even though, according to the guidebook, this is unusual in Denmark.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious regional food, and friendly service. I recommend it.
