Super good food and a cozy place

After a wet trip along the Syltemade Å, it was lovely to sit in the folk kitchen's small front room and enjoy simple and unusual delicious cakes. So up to the wildest room, simple with coordinated colors and such a simple commoner style here and there between beautiful furniture and lamps. Before our 5-course meal, bubbles were added with grape juice from the house. Excellent taste, crisp bubbles and a fresh taste. 2 times small surprising appetizers. Tapas-like small bites. Wafers in grilled cheese with salmon... or Brazilian root vegetables with bacon ice cream. It was so delicious - and with mouth-watering white wines from Austria and Germany, I completely forgot what was what. Later pork jowls, crispy beetroot in balsamic vinegar... 2 super fine red wines from Fan. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere cozy, cheerful and very informative about ingredients and processing. The evening was rounded off by a banana-themed dessert with an extremely delicious sweet wine. By now I was satiated with food and wine, and could happily retire to a nice bed. We slept sweetly in the quiet surroundings of Vester Skerninge until a rooster could tell that the sun was coming up. We ended our romantic overnight stay with poached eggs, delicious charcuterie and home baked goods. Sweet dishes with cheese, fruit and cake... I would highly recommend this hide-away to anyone who just wants a delicious and romantic weekend stay. Three words to describe Vester Skerninge Kro: wonderful atmosphere, cheerful service and a formidable kitchen.

After having coffee once, Christmas lunch another time, it was now time for a romantic weekend with an overnight stay, and I must say it lived up to the previous two times. Food, wine, service, and room were fantastic. It is also the inns. We are already looking forward to visiting the inn again.

We were at the inn to eat. We got Wienersnitzel and got a fantastically good snitzel as well as really good service from a couple of nice girls.

Vi kom som par en lørdag aften til kroen. Udefra er det en idyllisk kro og vi blev mødt sf en venlig tjener så snart vi kom ind. Maden var udsøgt og modig. Vi kan godt lide at prøve nye smage og deres sæsonmenu var både smuk og anderledes i smagen. Turen var det hele værd og kan varmt anbefales. Super god betjening tak❤️

Maden var virkelig lækker og servicen er helt i top.
