20/07/2025: The best pizzas in living memory. A little long delivery time, but worth the wait. And a pizza restaurant is warm in 28 degrees.

05/06/2025: Clean shop with friendly service. The fish and chips were okay. The fries were soft, and the tartar sauce was stingy. The baked squid rings were obviously made of pressed meat. They were soft inside and out (no bite). I don't expect that from a fish shop.
02/06/2025: Taste is subjective, but the breaded fish fillets go through the deep fryer and are dripping with fat. The potato salad was a disgrace.

30/06/2025: Denmark = Hygge. Doesn't this mean anything to you? Aarhus in East Jutland boasts several Michelin-starred restaurants. We visited two.
Nordic cuisine used to intimidate me. Too dogmatic. They rake the forests and meadows, ferment whatever they find. Bycatch, no problem. Oh, an ant, great, who needs lemon?
You know every producer personally, ideally for generations. Food that can't be shipped to the kitchen by cargo bike because the producer is located too far from the kitchen is taboo. And what do you end up with? Perhaps a Redzepi 😊? That's quite biased, because there's no doubt that Mr. Redzepi, together with Ferran Adria, has significantly shaped the culinary world over the past twenty years, and that deserves recognition 🏆.
We saw Wassim Hallal, the chef of the Frederikshoj restaurant, as a guest chef on Ikarus (Servus TV). We liked his style and personality. The restaurant has just been redesigned. It appears elegant and tasteful. Dark tones dominate, but the overall impression is anything but cold. The ambiance exudes quality. There are no tablecloths, which, in my opinion, seemed rather out of place here. There are a few works of art on the walls. Overall, it's rather minimalist. We felt very comfortable, as the details we appreciated were present. The tables are generously spaced. The chairs are comfortable. From our table, we had a magnificent view of the sea. The air conditioning was pleasant, as was the background music. There was a small side table for the phone and the lady's bag. Parking was available in front of the restaurant. The guests were a diverse mix and mostly dressed casually. We appreciated all of this.
We were greeted by the restaurant manager and co-owner, Jeppe Lund. He was supported by a friendly and attentive service team. Mr. Lund was the one who played a key role in ensuring that I enjoyed the evening so much, despite my mediocre English skills.
Eating out in Denmark is more expensive than in Germany. This is partly due to a sales tax rate of 25 percent.
We enjoyed 14 courses (including two desserts). The "Greetings from the Kitchen," as we are used to in Germany, was not offered. Bread was also not served. Water was not charged. The wine list is extensive.
The dishes served to us delighted us from start to finish. We didn't encounter any dogmatism here. Many ingredients were regional, but why forgo Danish lobster, oysters, and potatoes? All of these "local" products were of the highest quality.
All the dishes were highly aromatic, yet very subtle. The entire process was executed with utmost precision. It's hard to imagine a tartlet or other treat that's finer or crispier. Each cube is cut as precisely as the next. I love this kind of precision; it's not only a testament to good craftsmanship, but this work also undoubtedly makes a difference in terms of feel.
I'll refrain from singling out a single course or describing the meal in detail here. Every time we thought it couldn't get any better, Chef Hallal and his team went one better. We were more than impressed. A magnificent menu.
Who's surprised that I was able to enjoy the best Canelés de Bordelais of my life with coffee at the end of the evening? Jeppe Lund told a nice anecdote about it. Chef Eric Kragh Vildgaard celebrated his third Michelin star here, which he received for his restaurant Jordnær. He was said to have been so impressed by this pastry that he consumed considerably more than one. I'll have the opportunity to ask him about it next week, as Jordnær is our next destination. According to Mr. Lund, it's going to be fantastic, and I'm happy to believe him.
25/05/2025: Sublime, nothing less. Craftsmanship and culinary art merge into a higher unity. Care has been taken to ensure that you get the full sensory impression of the experience.

04/07/2025: Bread cost 84 kr. but they brougth it as if it were complementary, we weren’t told about a price. They were just like hey here’s some bread. We get the bill and are like wait we didn’t order this. The food, wine and servers were good though, so it’s a shame this small thing has to taint the expierience.
02/06/2025: The food was uninteresting and not proportional to the price. The whole thing seemed uninspired and out of step with what one should expect in 2025. Cold red wine, improperly cooked meat, shrimp from the refrigerated counter and cake that tasted suspiciously like one you'd get from most provincial bakeries and again, cold. The place has performed at a higher level in the past.

29/06/2025: Good food, friendly staff, good premises. The noise reduction can be improved, even though narrow stripes have been installed on the ceiling. Try full-coverage professional sound reduction, such as Ecophon, which can be glued to the existing ceiling. Guests will love the better sound, and you are not at all on the bad side.
I will come again if you do it.
Advertise that you have made a special effort and the guests will flock in.

01/08/2025: Fint sted med venlig og god betjening. Brunchtallerknen var lækker, billig og absolut en gentagelse værd.

01/06/2025: Maden (vi fik en BMO) og kaffen var rigtig god, og derfor vin jeg gerne komme igen. Men jeg er ked af den service vi fik. Vi sad ved et bord som ikke var tørret af og selvom vi havde spurgt om at rådner tørret af og pigerne gik forbi flere gange blev det ikke gjort. Da hun så kommer med vores bestilling siger vi igen at vi mangler at få bordet tørret af, hvortil hun snerper og siger jaja jeg skal nok gøre det. Så kommer hun med en klud efter vores mad er sat på bordet og tørrer det vredt af, rundt i kanterne, så bordet stadig er beskidt og der ligger krummer. Virkelig træls oplevelse. Det havde ikke taget mange minutter at tage det bord ad med det samme. Det var så beskidt at vi ikke kunne have hverken tlf eller arme på bordet.

18/07/2025: Meget hyggelig café med fint udvalg. Laver mega god kaffe og en god aperol! Beliggenhed findes ikke bedre. Super søde personaler.
29/05/2025: Efter en længere vandretur ved fjorden, som startede og sluttede i Søndervig, gik vi ind her for at drikke kaffe og hvile benene. Vi havde lagt mærke til stedet ved turens begyndelse, da det ligger virkelig fint og hyggeligt i klinterne lige ved nedgangen til stranden. Da vejret var fint, startede vi med at sidde udenfor på den fine terrasse, men da det blev køligere, rykkede vi indenfor og bestilte et glas vin og snacks. Også indenfor er der rigtig fint og en hyggelig stemning, og vi sad godt ved vinduet med direkte udsigt til stranden og havet. Alt hvad vi fik serveret smagte godt, og så var betjeningen virkelig god - de mest søde og venlige unge mennesker, som var meget opmærksomme. Vi vil anbefale alle, der kommer på disse kanter, at slå sig ned her og nyde den gode stemning.

06/07/2025: A small but cozy place. The food is very good and the prices are reasonable, considering Denmark! The wine list is a bit limited.
For me, it's missing a good Ribera del Duero or Rioja.
It's worth a visit.
30/05/2025: Disappointing. The food is way too salty. Either the chef didn't taste it or he likes salty food. Service doesn't respond to this at all.

28/07/2025: I was here for lunch with a small group of colleagues. Unfortunately it was too late to order brunch, but we got really nice food and super good service. The food was served at the same time, even though we had all chosen something different. There is a wide selection of dishes and drinks, and there is also nice outdoor seating. It is recommended to reserve a table, as there are often many guests. I would look forward to trying an evening menu.
17/06/2025: We picked up the menu ourselves after 15 minutes. You can only get breakfast/brunch until 1:15 p.m. (Sat./Sun.). They can only put together brunch from 8 different options. Today they had sold out of “avocado food on toasted rye bread” so only 7 options. It must be said that two of them are desserts and a skyr so only 4 options for real food. In addition, Den Lyserrøde smoothie was also sold out. We came hungry after lunch at 12 and we could not get it until 1:15 p.m. Several people behind us tried to order avocado food on toasted rye bread which must mean it is popular but sold out. All in all, not a good experience.
119kr for 4 courses and 54kr for the juice.

09/03/2025: The boat café at Marselisborg Harbor is a real gem for those who love cozy surroundings, good food and a unique atmosphere. Located on the old ferry "Sorte Louis", the café cradles calmly on the water and offers guests an incomparable view of the harbor - a perfect place for a relaxing moment away from the noise of the city.

But they can't make gravy, the first portion was full of lumps and thin, the second portion without lumps with still some thin gravy that can't stick to the potatoes.

16/06/2025: Nydelig mat! Veldig god carpaccio til forrett og en stor porsjon med perfekt tilberedt oksekjøtt til hovedrett. Crispy chips og en luftig bernaise som gjorde dette til en svært god opplevelse. Vi fikk også en god start med bobler og dansk flagg på bordet! Hyggelige priser og store porsjoner med mat.
14/06/2025: Maden var god, servicen og stemningen i top, priserne rimelige. Men akustikken var elendig og gjorde det svært at høre, hvad sidemanden sagde. Jeg kunne godt finde på at booke her igen, men så ville det være på en af de roligere dage… måske i dagstid.

11/08/2025: We can't handle the service, it wasn't really there, so we skipped dessert and didn't get any praise. The food was simply too bland, tasteless and our fish mostly resembled a dry fish fillet. It's a real shame, because the location is top notch and the restaurant is so beautiful and well-decorated.
Unfortunately, we won't be back

15/08/2025: We didn't dine at this restaurant because we waited over 30 minutes without even getting a drink. It's absurd that you can't bring your dog into this restaurant. You're ahead of the curve in many ways, but this is truly bizarre.

07/08/2025: - A disastrous experience!
I had the absolute worst experience at Restaurant Dauphine ever! Rolf, the owner, was extremely rude and inattentive. I ordered a dish that I had been looking forward to for hours, but when the food arrived, it was cold and tasteless. I asked Rolf if I could have something else, and he replied with a shrug and a sour expression.
The food was not only bad, but also presented in a way that looked like it had been thrown on the plate. I felt completely ignored by Rolf, who apparently had better things to do than serve the guests.
I asked to speak to the manager, and after a long wait, someone came who didn't even apologize for the poor service. I didn't even get a discount or a free dessert, even though I told him about my bad experience.
I will never ever set foot there again and will warn my friends and family about the poor service and food. Rolf really needs to work on his service and customer orientation!
*Update:* I have not received any response from the restaurant or Rolf, even though I have contacted them several times. It just shows how little they care about their customers.
09/06/2025: A really good social dining experience in an intimate restaurant. The chef and waiter were really service-minded, and the menu was adapted to gluten allergies.
