From the moment we entered, the room radiated warmth: Scandinavian minimalism with a soulful, almost sacred calm. Every detail, from the single flowers in a clay vase to the design-classic stoneware, spoke of quiet dedication. The food? Simply extraordinary. • Ravioli with Ricotta & Cavolo Nero – hand-crafted pockets, so delicate and clear in flavour, the nutty, earthy kale filling lifted by subtle acidity. Truly flawless pasta. • Beef tartare from Engmosegaard – finely cut, seasoned with elegance, melting into the most balanced herb mayo, finished with paper-thin crispbread: among the best tartares we have ever tasted. • Wild mushroom toast with Semmel-Stoppelpilz – creamy forest richness absorbed by rustic bread, accompanied by a vibrant salad. A dish that tastes like a woodland walk. • Charcuterie – house-aged Salsiccia and Culatello, deeply flavoured, quietly masterful. The drinks matched this standard: a natural French Pinot Noir, perfectly paired; and a house-made kombucha with figs, coconut and a whisper of cinnamon – fragrant, alive, unforgettable. Brilliant jazz floated through the room, the host speaking of the musicians with the same passion he invests in his kitchen. His kindness and humility made us feel deeply welcome. Torup Spisehus is not just a restaurant – it is an experience woven from food, music, design, and heart. A place of rare beauty and generosity.

01/11/2025: I've stopped coming here. Their opening hours are so unstable that you never know when they're open or closed. When they finally are open, you have to order via an app - even though you're standing right in front of the staff. It seems both cumbersome and impersonal. Their ice cream machine almost never works, and it's quite disappointing when you've been looking forward to an ice cream. The food is okay (a little too salty sausage mix), but otherwise excellent. Unfortunately, that's also the only positive thing.

29/10/2025: The best place in North Zealand Where you get the best Pork steak sandwich and Burger also all the other food they have super good Pork steak sandwich only 65 kr is cheap service is also great every time New with new owner Simon and it is just as good as it was before Simon has worked under the old owner he does it well (I only see a small problem when you stand in line for 18 minutes and see all those who have ordered online come before you so fun it is better not to stand in line😪so all 4 of us left again without buying😪) get the problem solved I know you are busy sometimes.

23/02/2026: I would like to complain about an experience I had with you. The man behind the counter first said that they couldn't make milkshakes. So I ordered an iced coffee instead. Right after, he said that they could make a milkshake anyway. Then I asked for a milkshake, but the one I was given was only almost half full. I think it was a bad experience and not up to par with the service and quality you expect. 23/02/2026🤡🤪

15/04/2026: ​Good pizzas, but inedible steak and strange service ​My wife and I usually order pizza from here, which is always excellent. This time, however, we chose to eat in the restaurant and try their steak. It was a huge disappointment. ​The food was definitely inedible. The mashed potatoes clearly tasted like powdered mash, and the meat was inedible. My wife took two bites of her steak, and I ate half, before we simply had to give up and leave the rest. ​When the waiter asked about the food afterwards, we honestly told him that we couldn't eat it. He apologized, but his next move was very strange: He took our plates into the kitchen to taste the food we had just eaten. ​Even though we sent back two almost untouched portions, the restaurant only offered us to get rid of one dish. We protested and of course only meant that we should pay for our drinks, since the food was inedible, but unfortunately we ended up having to pay for the one plank steak anyway. Stick to their pizzas, they are fine – but avoid the plank steak for all you know.

10/07/2025: Really good homemade waffles and would recommend their homemade ice cream: chocolate orange and sea buckthorn! As well as their soft ice cream which has a really good consistency

22/11/2025: We visited on a Saturday in mid-November. The place was well-attended, the surroundings lovely and we received a friendly, humorous and pleasant service. Thank you. Very nice dishes and large portions. We had lunch dishes, Paris steak and shooting stars. All are recommended.

22/05/2026: Hotel close to the beach. You can park for free next to the hotel, but there are not many spaces. Nice garden with sun loungers. Bright rooms with private bath and toilet. When other rooms take a shower, the water pressure in our shower drops. During our stay, the hotel restaurant only had one menu for dinner. We chose to eat elsewhere. Breakfast buffet was nice.

14/05/2026: Nice service, disappointing visit to mama and tapas as it was a very expensive wine list not possible to buy glass of wine, of all bottles. They did not have any starters. The host was at a local tavern. Very sweet and welcoming staff. The breakfast, good coffee, lack of overview from the host...quickly ran out of food such as pancakes, eggs.
