Real Italian pizza with good ingredients and good vino
Salvo and Masca create the perfect atmosphere and often have a good laugh with the guests
22/11/2025: Piccolina serves an okay pizza, but the dough is on the dry side and lacks the flavor you’d expect from a good fermentation.
The pizzas cool down quickly, which makes the dryness even more noticeable.
The menu looks big at first, but most Pizzas are just small variations of each other.
Overall fine, but there are many better Pizzerias in Aarhus.

24/10/2025: Fantastic pizzeria with an always smiling owner who spreads a good mood. The pizza with mascarpone is in a class of its own. You can't eat inside, but just on the other side is a green area, perfect for enjoying your pizza.

15/09/2025: We organized an event at this restaurant, and the owner Andrea and the dining room manager Giorgia were very helpful. Giorgia, despite her young age, was exceptional both as a host and in her availability to our guests. Thank you so much, and we hope to see you again next time!
13/09/2025: The risotto was quite tasty and the atmosphere was cozy. There was no doubt that the place was Italian.

14/11/2025: I went out to eat here and the experience was really good. The food was delicious from start to finish, and I chose halal-slaughtered veal, which tasted surprisingly good. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was pleasant, so there is room for all kinds of guests. All in all, a really positive experience that I would happily recommend to others. I will definitely be back."

We were 6 people (3 generations) on Friday 12/12/2025 and everyone was super satisfied. Lovely sweet family who cooks and serves. Completely an unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again.

26/10/2025: Famo Saxo undoubtedly delivers Italian food of a very high standard. The dishes are authentic, based on excellent ingredients (which you can taste are sourced from Italy), and the kitchen really masters the simple but tasteful approach. The food alone deserves top marks.
Unfortunately, the dining experience was dragged down by the surroundings. The restaurant is incredibly popular, which means that the small room is far too crowded. You sit uncomfortably close together, and the high noise level makes it difficult to have a conversation. Unfortunately, the 'lively' Italian atmosphere tips over and becomes more stressful and chaotic.
If you're going for the taste alone, Famo Saxo is a winner. But the cramped and hectic atmosphere takes away a lot of the enjoyment of the otherwise excellent meal.

12/12/2025: Always a pleasure to visit this place, nice employees and the owner is always in a good mood, the food is always good regardless of their delicious sandwiches, pizza or cheese and meat for a good tapas👌
06/12/2025: I ordered two pizzas by phone for takeaway. During the call, I had difficulty understanding a few words from the employee and kindly asked him to repeat them. Unfortunately, he seemed to take this the wrong way and assumed I was criticizing his English, which was not the case. I repeated my order to make sure everything was correct, but before ending the call he commented that my English was also not good. I found this response to be quite impolite.
He picked up the pizzas and arrived home, we noticed that one of the two pizzas was incorrect. The taste was good, but the overall service experience was disappointing.

29/11/2025: I can't recommend Grappa, unfortunately. We ordered our starters, and we got them quickly. However, 145 kr. for a starter - that's almost the same price as a main course, except for a significantly smaller side dish 🤣 The waiter asked if they should start with our main course. Yes, please, we said. It then took 40 minutes, so we grabbed the first waiter and asked about the status of the main course. They said that the order was confirmed, so they would just have to ask the kitchen. Another 30 minutes passed, where we grabbed another waiter because we didn't want the food anyway, and then found another place because we had a backlog with another reservation and were already late. But they said that the food was on its way, so that's why we stayed. It also resulted in us having to order new drinks because we had drunk it all due to the wait. Another 20 minutes passed before we got our food…. The pasta dish was good, but all three other pizzas were not cooked through, and the potato pizza in particular lacked flavor. What a terrible experience.
We expected a much smaller bill, since we had to pay for extra drinks, an unacceptable wait time, and even lost our second reservation. However, we were simply told ‘sorry, something went wrong in the kitchen, I’ll tell them that. You can have a cup of coffee after you’ve eaten’. We responded that we couldn’t, because we had a backlog and were already late - and he knew it. All in all, poor service, a long wait, and the food was nothing to shout about at those prices. Find somewhere else to eat ☺️
