04/09/2025: That was a really good experience, 8

21/08/2025: I came to this place for dinner with six other friends. I should start by saying that the quality of the meat was poor. I ordered a rare fillet, which arrived well done. I asked if I had made a mistake with my order (orders are written directly by the customers). After verifying that the meat had indeed been ordered rare, I pointed out that it was well done. The waitresses didn't say anything, not even a "sorry for the mistake," but rather angrily took the plate and took it to the counter. I then went to the chef, who, instead of apologizing, tried to argue that the meat was rare because it was pink on the outside! (The outside of any grilled meat isn't pink, even rare steaks, but what matters is obviously the doneness inside.) I pointed out that arguing with a customer is unprofessional, and not knowing how to tell rare from well done is even more astonishing. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you try to correct them that makes the difference. It's incomprehensible to attack a customer when they point out that the dish was definitely wrong. When the waitress came to ask if we wanted anything else, I pointed out that the only thing that would be a granita was an apology from the chef, which even the owner would have. At that point, the waitress burst out laughing, turned around, and left. The experience was terrible, both because of the food, which we all found to be of poor quality, and because of the rudeness and manner in which we were treated. I'm a restaurateur myself, and I know how much work goes into running a business, but respect for customers is the foundation of this profession.

30/07/2025: We had a great time when my team played in Herning a week ago. The very efficient staff looked after the fans from Scotland extremely well keeping the pints flowing no mean feat !!!.. Didn’t have any food so couldn’t rate it. If we are ever in the area again would certainly pay a visit.

14/08/2025: I won't say that it was surprisingly good food, but the food was very good otherwise. The amount of food was perfect for me, and I'm a pretty hungry guy. It must be said that it is a different kebab variety than we are used to in Fredrikstad, but all in all the babben was really good. Can be recommended if you are on a roll.

14/06/2025: The waiter throws a plate at the customers: I ask for dressing since the durum nr 33 was very dry, and I get it. At the payment the waiter says I should pay for the extra which didnt make sense. I try to communicate with her and she walks away from the desk and takes a plate and throws it towards us (4 adults and 4 children). The plate (luckily) hits the floor, but a broken piece of the plate hits my nephew’s leg and results on a bruise around 3x3cm. The waiter walks out of the restaurant and runs out. And when my nephew says to the other waiter that the broken glass hit him, the waiter says: ‘Well. Good for you.” We have reported it to the police, and they will get back to you. But for now the police wants us to put reviews on the place on social media, google maps and trustpilot.

19/08/2025: I bought a roll with cheese and a cup of coffee. I ate on the spot, sitting on a bar stool.

15/07/2025: EXCELLENT FOOD and SERVICE I dropped by for a light dinner one early evening in MAR 2025. The restaurant had customers at 4 other tables so they were able to seat me immediately. The server quickly served some cold tap water (Yes - drinkable and tasting real good in Denmark). They have a nice and mouthwatering menu (Small - not that it matters) - the same with the wine menu. Some real nice choices for wine - also per glass. I ended up with the “Karl Johan soup” and a glass of 2016 Gewurtztraminer from Trimbach, Alsace, France. The server was real professional and polite - and informative. Shared a lot of information on food and wine. Nice. My soup was excellent - and so was the wine - and they ended up being well suited to each other. The decor in the restaurant is modern minimalistic - only slight minus is that the lamps over the tables are very bright. Could be nice if the bulbs were changed to some of a more warm light. Overall a real nice experience. Definitely a place to visit when in Herning.
