04/09/2025: 🍖🔥 The Grill in Viborg – where the joy of food goes to die 🔥🍖 Well. So you've been to The Grill in Viborg – a restaurant that markets itself as the stronghold of the buffet, but in reality is a place where frozen food goes to be revived with a microwave and an aftertaste of resignation. The food? Yes, it tastes of something – but only because Nestlé, Arla and some Chinese factory have already made it. The cream potatoes come straight from the bag, the boiled potatoes have seen more plastic than a Barbie doll, and the sauce tastes so bought that even Knorr would have been ashamed. And the meat, the big draw? The first time it tasted okay, but the second time I picked up the thick roast, it felt like gnawing on a reheated memory from yesterday's staff lunch. You sit there and think: Do I really have to pay 340 kr. to be a beta tester of yesterday's leftovers? Drinks? 70 kr. for a soda. It's so close to robbery that I almost checked to see if they had ski masks lying around behind the bar. Yes, they have free coffee and soft ice cream – but it's a bit like saying: “Hey, we smashed your car, but here's a free scoop of ice cream to numb the pain.” The acoustics are downright torture. It feels like eating in an airplane hangar full of schoolchildren on Red Bull while someone tests concrete drills. And then there's the service: sour looks at the meat table, drinks that only appear after 3-4 reminders, and glasses on the table so old that you consider giving them a CPR number. So yes – there's plenty of parking outside. That's actually the best part of the experience. I highly recommend the place if you want to pay gourmet prices for canteen food and get tinnitus included. Rating: 1 out of 5 half-melted soft ice cream machines. Thanks for the show, The Grill. I am now poorer, deaf, slightly traumatized – and still impressed by how consistently you can make a buffet without doing anything yourself.

18/01/2026: Stopped by yesterday, pizza- really good! Carbonara… there were several things I felt ruined the concept. My best advice is to keep it simple and original

14/08/2025: We had booked a table and asked for a flag on the table as we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the flag never arrived. We ordered the 4-course menu for 495 consisting of fried tiger prawns, smoked beef sole, veal tenderloin and a dessert. The fried tiger prawns lacked acidity, the prawns were warm. The smoked beef sole had an overwhelming taste of the smoke and lacked any contrast. The veal tenderloin had a bland taste and the same for the vegetables that were included. The dessert consisted of meringue in pieces with whipped cream and fresh strawberries in pickle. All in all, the menu bears the impression that most guests probably come from the hotel's "holiday packages" and not something that you are after.

20/08/2025: There are various vegetarian sushi options (without mayo = vegan). Good quality, and the service was very friendly.

07/08/2025: The food came a little too slowly. There was only 1 waiter. The food was sitting too exposed. The intimate environment was missing. The atmosphere in the room was too cold, too much Scandinavian style with wooden slats. It ruined the Japanese style

16/08/2025: So… The Lagkagehuset in Viborg. It’s a bit like going on a date with someone who has their hair in order but has completely forgotten to bring their personality. 🍰 The bread? Sure, sure – it’s nice enough, but at that price you almost expect it to be baked with grain from a secret field, where the grain stalks have been massaged and sung lullabies by Mozart. Instead you get a “meh” bread that most of all looks like something that’s a little tired of its own life. The selection? Narrow. As in: “Hey, we have four kinds – choose or die.” And you always end up taking the same one as last time anyway, because the second one honestly looks like it was baked by an intern on day one. But the worst thing is the staff. Damn it. You come in, smile and think: “Now I’m going to enjoy myself with a bun and some cake.” And then you’re greeted by a look that says most of all: “What are you looking at, loser?” I once tried to send a small smile – I got a look back as if I had planned to rob the entire store with a butter bun as a weapon. 🥖🔫 I'm not saying they're not nice – I'm just saying that if smiles were currency, they had staff who owed RKI. So yes, Lagkagehuset in Viborg is a bit like that experience: You leave with a bag of bread, a slightly empty wallet and a feeling of having been looked at askance. It's not that I'll never go there again – but it's more like: “I need to psychologically prepare myself to be talked down to by a croissant-serving upper-class general.”

19/02/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give a single star. It is otherwise our favorite pizza place because they offer gluten-free and it really is usually delicious. The last two times, however, the pizza has been too little and very soft and this time we got the wrong pizza. We ordered Kurdish with kebab/pep but got ham. Inedible unfortunately. Fortunately, we had also ordered fries because the pizza is running out. It will be some time before we dare order here again and we would like to support now that there are roadworks.

24/01/2026: It's 50/50. Either you get what you ordered, which is okay. I HAVE been very happy with the Norwegian Grill. But always experience an impersonal indifferent "welcome" in the store. Second part of 50/50: Otherwise you get splat, i.e. 200% dressing, thrown into a measly bread for example. And of course you will NOT get a refund for what you paid for, which they forgot.... Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the Norwegian Grill. It's as if they have forgotten that they serve food for people. The store is also cold and without focus on a cozy atmosphere.

29/09/2025: Never had a problem with this pizza place. However, after a recent order of pepperoni pizza, which felt more like eating a picture of a pizza than a real pizza, I felt like I needed to ask the pizza guy to do better…. Sending out this type of food is simply unacceptable.

05/10/2025: Good thing they're not called Joe & the Coffee Because they can't figure out how to make Coffee Sorry, but how hard can it be to make a cup of coffee and remember to bring a straw for your smoothie.

17/09/2025: 🥤🎶 Joe & The Juice Viborg – a juice with a death stare on top 🎶🥤 Hold on… I walk in the door, and the first encounter is a wall of music so loud that you’d think they were trying to drown out both the blenders and the customers’ will to live. The temperature is set to “tropical rainforest,” and you feel more like you’re at a techno party in Berlin than in a café in Viborg. I try to shout my order over the noise, but am met with a look from the clerk that could make milk curdle. Smile? No. Service? Forget it. Just pure mortal contempt delivered directly over the counter. When I tried a friendly “have a good day,” I got a look back that made me wonder if I had insulted the entire Joe family personally. And then the price… Oh yes, the juice tastes great – but at that price it should be served with live music, foot massages, and a free Tesla included. Instead, you get a cardboard cup of fruit puree and a bill that could make even a lawyer sweat. All in all, Joe & The Juice Viborg is an experience where you pay luxury prices to be treated like an unwanted guest at a nightclub. Rating: 1 out of 6 overpriced straws. Thanks for the experience, Joe & The Juice. I am now both poorer, slightly deaf – and impressed by how quickly you can mix a bad mood with a little juice.

09/05/2025: Terrible experience, the food was disgusting and dry and it couldn't be eaten and it cost a farm to eat in there and then when I had to go to the toilet there was shit in the toilet that hadn't been flushed and there was piss on the wall and it stank of shit and the service was terrible they couldn't hear what I was saying and then they were super rude and it took about an hour before the food came. Terrible experience at the ROD restaurant, and it must be said that it was.

24/09/2025: We order Food to take away last saturday 20 of september, but when we Came it was close everyone was sick. We did not get food and still not have the money back,we have came back to try to get the money and send email, but still no money

11/09/2025: We entered an almost empty restaurant and were greeted kindly, but with a "warning" that they couldn't serve draft beer at all. We could live with that, so the husband ordered 1 glass of red wine and I ordered sparkling water. The husband ordered and received an excellent piece of beef. I was tempted by the special offer sign on the table, which showed a schnitzel with a pile of fried mushrooms and accompanying fries and sauce. It was brought to the table by someone other than the one who took the order. I was told that it was a mistake, that I had not been told that they had run out of mushrooms. Despite this, the kitchen prepared the food, without taking the initiative to suggest to me whether I would rather order something else. Instead, she suggested a salad without charge and coffee after the meal. I said, as it were, that it was a poor substitute for what you have just been looking forward to. I asked if there were any mushrooms in the salad bar that they could fry? But no, there weren't any. At that point, it was finally suggested to me that I might want something completely different. I said no, a bit of the fun disappears when one person has eaten and the other has to sit and wait. I poured sauce over my meat and it slid down. Then the man looks at me and says "you'd almost think they're going bankrupt" A little later, the waiter came over and asked a little awkwardly if it was good after all. To that I replied: "When the draft beer system doesn't work and you don't have the ingredients that were marked on an offer on the table, you'd think you're going bankrupt"? She answered YES to that, the restaurant is closing at the end of September. She told me a little more, which I won't repeat here, but it's not fun to be a part of. We wished them luck in finding a better workplace.
