19/10/2024: Möchte man sehr lecker dänisch essen, sollte man sich einen Besuch im Fisherman‘s Rest nicht entgehen lassen. Die Atmosphäre ist urig, die Auswahl an Bieren ist besonders und das Essen vom Buffet genial. Alles frisch und sehr appetitlich angerichtet: köstliche Salate (auch ganz toll fürs Auge), knusprige Backfischfilets sowie Fleisch: Hühnchen in leckerster Pilzsoße, Roastbeef, Frikadellen sowie Kartoffeln als Gratin, Pommes, Kronetten, gekräutert aus dem Ofen sowie verschiedene hausgemachte Mixed Pickles …. Und am Ende ofenwarmer Kuchen und Eis … Es war einfach nur köstlich. Außerdem ist das Team vom Fisherman‘s Rest supernett und bemüht, auch den nichtdänischen Gästen alles zu erklären, was es zu essen gibt! Also eine ganz klare Empfehlung!!!

31/08/2024: Schönes Lokal im Pub Stil. Außen sitzen ist auch möglich. Essen Rippchen waren sehr gut, Burger groß, viel Fleisch, und viel Pommes. Ausblick war traumhaft, aufs Meer und wenn man Glück hat auch einen perfekten Sonnenuntergang.

31/08/2025: A truly fantastic bakery in Hjørring with a particularly large selection of baked goods—from delicious cakes and sweet treats to plenty of freshly baked rolls. Open from 9 a.m. on Sundays, it's perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a quick snack. The service is super friendly, the employees also speak English, and you can enjoy everything in-store, take it with you, or use the drive-thru. Highly recommended! ❤️

08/05/2025: just picked up 2 jumbo burgers and a rib burger and it was all smeared in red cabbage juice when we got it home, so she shouldn't be allowed to sell food anymore with the prices she charges, the food you get there is so bad, don't join and shop there anymore

19/07/2024: Vi besøgte ishuset mange gange. Lækre gammeldagsis, softice, churros og rigtig god kaffe. Særligt kendt for deres lækre guf!

06/07/2024: Guffen smager rigtig dejligt og man er ikke i tvivl om at den er hjemmelavet. Selve isen er der ikke det store at sige om andet end jævnt kedelig!

17/09/2025: We had food from Martin Kok for a 150th birthday. (25+50+75). We chose the Italian buffet. The food was fantastic and the cold was beautifully arranged on plates. The food was delivered 10 minutes before the agreed time, so there was no need to panic at any time. There was more than enough food. We are very satisfied and so were our guests. Several of the guests asked for Martin Kok's website address. When we wrote to Martin Kok, they were very quick to respond. We have no doubt about where we will order food for our next party.

04/06/2025: I was going to celebrate my 30th birthday and was looking forward to an Italian buffet from Martin Kok. Unfortunately, I am left with a very sad experience. I had ordered for 50 people for delivery with the expectation that we would eat around 3 pm I had not received any confirmation, so I asked a few days before if they could confirm the number and time. Here they first confirm, but then change my delivery time to 12.30 with the beginning “it doesn’t fit well”. Here I would have liked that I didn’t have to contact them myself to find out, but peace be with it. When we are going to eat later, we are not far into the appetizers before it turns out that they have given us the wrong appetizer. They have given us a seafood salad from the Southern European buffet. In addition, 19 out of 49 end up not being allowed to taste the second appetizer, because there was not enough when it was their turn at the buffet. Of those who had received, 14 were children and the rest had limited themselves to 1 slice of carpaccio, as they considered that the quantity would not be enough - it was not. However, for the main course there was plenty of meat, which they should be commended for, but the accompanying chive pesto was not even half of what was given. We received 1 very small bowl for all those people. I contact them afterwards to give some feedback, praising the good things, but of course expressing my ambition for the mistakes. I am completely outraged by the treatment I received afterwards. The owner refuses to apologize or acknowledge the mistakes. First I am told that I have received a starter with a salad of shrimp, serrano and pesto (the one that belonged to my buffet) and even after I send him pictures of the seafood salad I received instead, I receive no apology (I had leftovers from that very starter, picture added here). When I write the part about the chive pesto, I just keep thinking that it can't be right, there wasn't enough for 50 and just ignore the fact that I was the one in the wrong here too (I'm attaching the bowl here). In relation to the carpaccio, the blame is also just thrown back at me with the accusation that the others must have taken too much (we all know that if it's 19 people who don't have enough, then there's something wrong with the quantity). For me, it's incomprehensible that you don't just apologize for the mistakes instead of indicating that the customer is lying... I won't order from there again and neither will the guests.
