26/11/2025: What was advertised as fish was not fish at all, the wait was about an hour, the fish tasted like soggy toilet paper, it was absolutely not fish!!! And diarrhea!!! This place should be shut down.
23/11/2025: While enjoying our ice cream next to the giant menu of Hirtshals Fiskehus, we contemplated about whether we should share a Stjerneskud (164kr) since it came with 2 fried fish, 1 steamed fish and smoked salmon at a much more reasonable price. However, after ordering the “Shooting Star”, we noticed that the fish pieces were rather small – especially the steamed fish. The only good thing was that alot of the remoulade sauce was given along with vegetables...

11/10/2025: Amazingly good food in a cosy setting. We went for the 5-course and were simply blown away by each one. Special thanks also goes to the friendly and attentive crew who served and impressed us. Give this chef and restaurant its star already, Michelin!

For many, one of the many favorites of the sea! 🦞
That's why we have created an evening where we pay tribute to the lobster 🥳
This is expressed by an evening with the lobster in focus 🦞🤩
We start with 3 snacks with lobster and a nice glass of Champagne “Origin” from the house of Coutelas 🥂🍾
- Then the evening is off to a good start 🥳
Following this, a 5-course menu:
🌺 Lobster tartare with lime leaves & rose hips
🌭 “Lobsterdog”
🥣 Lobster soup with fish, garlic & grilled bread
🦞 Black lobster Wellington
🌿 Raspberries & herbs
Inc. Champagne & customized wine/juice menu

The evening starts at 6:00 PM and ends when we're done 🙂

16/10/2025: Fantastic food, great atmosphere and unique location. The last star is missing because one of the wines on the wine menu was a bit off, and our table was not ready on time.

02/12/2025: Was up and got a cake table.
I have never experienced anything so unprofessional.
Nothing was freshly baked, buns were hard and dry, and so were the sliced cakes.. and very tasteless. Layer cakes were very wet, and looked downright disgusting when you put the spoon in the bowl.
30/10/2025: A sudden downpour forced us into this restaurant, as the reviews are mixed. We can't understand why, though. We had a delicious meal and the drink recommendation was excellent. Of course, the restaurant is on the pricier side, but quality comes at a price. We were very satisfied and had a lovely evening – despite the thunderstorm.

16/09/2025: Delicious shooting star with pan-fried fresh plaice, steamed as well and lots of shrimp. We asked for rye bread with it and got it deliciously warm toasted. Super sweet and friendly service. For dessert we bought ice cream from the same place's ice cream parlor - yummy. So from us, a big THANK YOU for a cozy and good experience. We'll be back!
16/09/2025: We ordered herring, hoping for a typical Danish culinary experience. We were served very sweet, industrial-flavored herring with a caper, a few red onion rings, and three thin slices of bread, all for 159 DKK each!! And we had to pay 35 DKK for tap water! TAP WATER!!!
Don't go there, it's a tourist trap!

06/09/2025: We were greeted by smiling and friendly staff, and the service was quick.
Unfortunately the food was not very good, my husband got chicken salad, a very small portion, and there was more salad than chicken!!!
My fish fillet was fried in rancid oil!
So we were not as satisfied as the last time we were here.
30/08/2025: The atmosphere was nice and cosy until a pungent odour of drain suddenly hit us! We sat just opposite of the kitchen door and next to the toilets. It was awful but luckily we were done eating.
The fish was too salty, unfortunately. Main meal very small with a little piece of cod and 3 tortellinis. Dessert was a chocolate mousse, quite nice but topped with a tasteless and chewy merengue. Unnecessary! More chocolate mousse and less trying to be chichi.
Most surprising part of the dinner: the bill
If you choose entry of the day, main of the day and dessert of the day you pay less then for the 3-course menu consisting of the exact same 3 dishes.
The waitress argued that if’s the chef who sets the prices and this is how it’s done in Denmark.
Well, so be it, but we won’t return in this case and felt a bit fooled.
However, lovely Pinot Noir!
