Good service and a really cozy place
*updated* we celebrated a big birthday in Koral café. The owner took it very seriously and we were invited to a wine tasting and planning beforehand. We gave Louis free rein and had the most delicious dinner, which my family is still talking about a year later. It was absolutely perfect

18/10/2025: Fine, except for the location on the 1st floor. Away from other guests and wall space without windows and therefore no view. We don't want that anymore.
14/10/2025: The restaurant is located in idyllic surroundings of forest and lake - which is almost a bit like an old Morten Korch film.
The restaurant is a renovated half-timbered building that fits perfectly into these settings that surround Gisselfeld monastery.
Good service and ideal for weddings - christenings - parties or a good lunch in these perfect surroundings.

08/09/2025: The food was good. The cutlet on toast was delicious, well-fried. The waitress was "a bit" offended.
23/08/2025: Really nice experience. We were 4 people and everyone was extremely satisfied. They can really cook a good steak to perfection. They take pride in cooking good food, and not least being there for their guests. The menu changes continuously throughout the year. They have few dishes, but on the other hand they are really good at making those dishes. They know their wines, and white wine is of course kept cold in an ice bucket at the table. We will definitely come again and again.

20/09/2025: Stig and Greg have created a little piece of heaven on earth.
They served one of the best green teas I've ever had (go for the floral version). Cake and coffee were also fantastic. There are no words I can think of to describe the unique atmosphere in this Orangerie, you need to see and experience for yourselves!
PS:Tipsene til Køpenhavn - mange tak for det! Vi ses!
04/08/2025: I have been there five times now, all times equally lovely. Stig and Greg are simply so friendly and welcoming, and the food is really good. I can definitely recommend their afternoon tea. In addition, the surroundings are very beautiful. The Paradehuset is really beautiful and nice with a wonderfully calming atmosphere. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

29/08/2025: Super good and plentiful coffee, really good muffins ... even with a little soft ice cream on the side!!! AND ... the sweetest service!!! We came back later in the day, and got exactly the same 😃🍀👍🇩🇰
We left happy twice in one day.

26/08/2025: It was the first and only time I got delivery from them on August 19, 2025, and it was definitely not a good experience. The fries were not done at all. They were bland, floury and unsalted. There was absolutely no flavor in the burger, and the bun was not warmed through. The food was bland and not fully cooked. That makes you feel bad. I didn't feel like eating it at all, so I threw more than half out😔.
I contact the restaurant twice on their Facebook page/Messenger, as it was after closing time. Both times my messages are opened and ignored. It's just such poor service to just ignore the customer. I will never put my money there again.

13/10/2025: I had a really nice stay from Saturday to Sunday.
The staff was very friendly and you feel very welcome at the hotel.
The breakfast was also really delicious - lots of options to get a good start to the day before a long trip home.
09/10/2025: Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway. The room was nice and spacious and had everything we needed.

19/10/2025: I stopped by earlier today, as I sometimes do on my way to Copenhagen. I ordered a meatball sandwich, but instead got a rib sandwich.
I mentioned nicely that I had ordered meatballs – but also said that I should probably just have the ribs anyway, even though I didn’t feel like it. I run a café myself and know that mistakes can happen in the hustle and bustle, so I would rather save them an extra sandwich than cause a fuss.
But instead of being met with understanding, I was met by a grumpy and condescending lady, who claimed in front of other customers that I hadn’t ordered meatballs and that we could “check the surveillance” to prove it.
Excuse me, but what kind of way is that to talk to your customers? Standing around and implying that you’re lying – instead of just handling the situation with a smile and a little common respect – is seriously the sickest experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
I usually come here regularly, but after today it will unfortunately be the last time.

12/03/2025: A very nice restaurant, which we'd happily change our route north for. Excellent food in a lovely atmosphere. Friendly people who make you feel welcome. A bit more selection for vegetarians would be welcome.
