25/09/2025: First stop after leaving the ferry and ritual whilst in DK - Ristet Hotdog! Strike! To my point of view and taste very good. Also the French Fries! The service was very nice and super friendly! A bit of a surprise to me was the price for ice cream! 40 Kroner (€5,20) for a scoop has a tendency of street robbery, even for a more touristic place! But again, go there for the hotdogs!

15/10/2025: Had a reservation at 12 noon and when we arrived we were told that we don't have a table and they don't open until 5 pm and she should have written to me that they weren't open yet but the only thing she wrote was that we could only get the menu at 12 noon

19/09/2025: We came an hour before closing time and the buffet food had the impression of having been sitting for a long time. I think it would have been really delicious if we had come 2 hours earlier. 210 kr for the buffet is a great price, as there was a lot to choose from, but 210 kr is just expensive for food that has been sitting for a long time. You could say avoid food waste, eat for 100 kr in the last hour - that's what's on the plates and isn't being made anymore.

16/01/2025: A very dry meal. Our family pizza was burnt and very, very dry. My pita bread with falafel only had lettuce and dressing in it. Unfortunately it was quite disappointing 🫣

10/11/2025: The restaurant is definitely worth recommending. I have been here several times with guests and they are all equally impressed. The food is absolutely delicious and you sometimes get to challenge your taste buds with new, unknown combinations, which just makes the experience even greater. Hotel Saxkjøbing has become my regular place to eat out, both alone and with guests!

11/10/2025: Don't expect every Dhaba to serve the same dish even if its called the same. The biryani here is unrecognisable to the one at Dhaba Copenhagen except that it has chicken and rice in it. Service was awful. They forgot chutney to go with the starters. And then charged us for them when we complained. They forgot any raita with the biryanis even though it was in the menu description. And anything we asked for seemed too much trouble for the teenagers running the place. And the bathrooms - best avoided. The floor was so dirty and sticky that your shoes stuck to it. They were doing a lot of trade on take outs so maybe that's the better way to go.

09/10/2025: “Disappointing biryani – too expensive for rice alone” Ordered takeaway – slightly disappointed. Ordered Mama's Biryani Chicken. The website states from the picture that this dish comes with a raita dressing and salad. It doesn't. You only get a raita dressing – a very small one, in a very small plastic container. The container was even smaller than the ones you usually get when you buy salad mayo or ketchup at the grill. There wasn't enough dressing for the dish itself. The rice dish itself was also disappointing: a lot of rice, very few vegetables, almost no chicken – and I didn't see the raisins at all. All in all, a really bad experience. Pity! The price doesn't match what you expect to get. Unfortunately, it seems like a place where they are a bit "stingy" with the ingredients, and it was an expensive deal for a portion of cheap rice. Good advice: be more generous with the food when you charge 150 kr. for a dish. 150 DKK for rice is very expensive.

25/11/2025: It was too cold. Everyone was wearing jackets. The fries were too salty.

20/11/2025: Today, 20/11-2025, I was at McDonald’s in Nykøbing Falster with some friends. We agreed after school that we would go down and get some lunch. There were about five of us young boys, all of whom ordered food for an amount over 50 DKK. The food was excellent, but the service was definitely not. After a long wait, our food was brought to our table. We ate for about 30–40 minutes, spending the last part of the time sitting and talking. While we were sitting and talking, an employee came up to us and said: “If you don’t buy something within five minutes, you have to leave the restaurant.” We were naturally surprised and asked: “We all just bought food, why do we have to leave?” The employee replied: “It doesn’t matter, we can’t provide heat for everyone.” All of this took place in a half-empty McDonald’s, where our presence did not prevent other guests from getting a seat. We were deeply shocked and surprised by the way we young people were treated, especially when we are paying customers who ultimately help pay their salaries. We should have felt like guests, but instead we felt like an ATM that could only be used when money was being dispensed. We ended up leaving with great disappointment, and McDonald’s in Nykøbing gets a clear thumbs down.
