24/11/2024: Champagne tasting with Taittinger!!!
On this cold November evening, we were treated to lovely champagne and fantastic food from Brygghuset, (as usual).
The restaurant delivers innovative food art of the higher school served by staff who put service first. Always.
We will be back!
19/09/2024: I like to admit that my expectations were sky high - Now I had to try Bryghuset Vendia, and on the occasion of my 41st birthday, it had to be with a 5-course menu - according to the chef's own choice, wine menu, beer menu, coffee with chocolates and all molevitten, but unfortunately I didn't think the experience was worth the money.
The place itself is really nice and looks extremely cozy with dark wooden floors and large round ceiling lamps with warm, dim lights.
The young girls who took care of us were extremely sweet, smiling and obliging, and you could definitely tell that they had listened to class n and read up on their homework, because they were completely in control when we needed to know what the dish was called, what it was made of - what the wine was called, what country it came from, what the grape was called and where the grape was grown and the history of the beer and I'll come after you. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to my/our expectations at all.
It seems as if more time has been spent on inventing long fancy names for the dishes than on "seasoning the food with salt"
The portions are very small, indeed so small that there is hardly enough to achieve a taste experience.
In the chef's defense, it must be said that we don't usually eat out on these terms.
