We went on a friend's recommendation, and we're recommending it to our friends too. ☺️
We left the place we went to the first day hoping to come back every day, but we couldn't. We ordered takeout for the last day from what we couldn't eat. 🤩
The food was excellent, but the atmosphere and service could use a little more effort.

BUKA Cafe is one of those Copenhagen bakeries that immediately makes a positive impression with its modern, cozy atmosphere and lovingly selected baked goods. Upon entering, you're greeted by the aroma of freshly baked croissants, breads, and sweet creations, artfully displayed behind the counter – a true feast for the eyes and instantly inviting. The pistachio croissant was a particular highlight: beautifully golden brown, wonderfully light in texture, and generously filled. The combination of intense, nutty pistachio cream and buttery puff pastry makes this pastry a truly delightful experience. It's – typically French – definitely sweet and rich, yet still allows the delicate flavor nuances of the pistachio to shine through. A croissant that's anything but ordinary and stands out thanks to its generous filling. The fact that many guests praise it as one of Copenhagen's best snacks speaks for itself. The café itself is quite small, which means it can get crowded quickly, especially during peak hours. Seating is often limited, but the relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere more than makes up for it. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful even when it's busy – creating a pleasant atmosphere and making you want to explore the selection. One small drawback: the coffee. Like many cafés in Copenhagen, they use modern roasted beans with a strong, acidic flavor profile. For those who prefer milder, less intense coffees, this can be a bit off-putting – as it might be for you. The coffee is high quality, but those who prefer classic, nutty-chocolatey roasts might not be entirely satisfied. The price range is definitely on the higher end, which is hardly surprising given the central location and the café's popularity. Many guests find the price-performance ratio, especially for the pastries, to be largely reasonable; nevertheless, BUKA is more of a destination for leisurely moments than for a quick breakfast.
The coffee is of high quality, but those who prefer classic, nutty-chocolatey roasts might not be completely satisfied. Drawback
The biggest weakness of BUKA Cafe, according to many guests, is the lack of space – it gets hectic during peak hours, and seating is scarce. Additionally, some visitors find the coffee too acidic, which can detract from the overall experience. Prices are typical for Copenhagen, meaning relatively high for a cafe.
Conclusion
BUKA Cafe is a must for anyone looking for exceptional baked goods in a welcoming atmosphere. The pistachio croissant is a classic: sweet, rich, and bursting with flavor. While the coffee might not suit everyone's taste, and patience is required to find a seat, especially during peak hours, a visit is definitely worthwhile. Anyone who appreciates creative and high-quality pastry will love this cafe and will gladly return.

Buka is a chain, but better than most — fresh, cozy, and surprisingly good quality for a quick Danish pastry and coffee.

They are fast, and the sweet stuff look and taste amazingly. They just dont know where milk is and where, and after talking to him 10 minutes to find something without milk (which he said no we dont have any savory without milk) and ordering a coffee with oat milk (was mentioned at least twice) and getting a normal coffee at the end…. And the excuse was that he didnt heared it???? We talked 10 minutes about that one of us cant have Milk or milk products!! And then instead of hearing once that he is sorry he is asking me to pay extra for the oat milk….
