Café Fru Dax Tønder

We treated ourselves to ice cream, as we do every year. Two scoops with chocolate sauce cost about 7 euros. Although, to be fair, one scoop here in the café would cost about three scoops in Germany 😅 so the price is really okay.

A must-visit every time we're on the island! Besides the delicious iced coffee, they also offer fantastic hot dishes. Everything is served in generous portions and is absolutely tasty. We've never been disappointed here. We even received a free cup of hot water to warm up baby food. The staff are incredibly friendly and almost all of them speak German, which, while not a deciding factor, is especially helpful for tourists with limited English skills. Of course, it's more expensive than in Germany, as is typical for Denmark, but that's just something you have to expect on vacation. There are indoor and outdoor play areas for little ones, and plenty of high chairs are available. It's also worth mentioning that the ice cream cones are homemade. Soooo delicious!

Beef burger with lots of sauce! In general good food but too much sauce for me!

The vegetarian hotdog was soooo good, can definitely recommend. Fries were very good too, a little too salty for my taste but with all that sauce just perfect.
