26/01/2025: Lækker madoplevelse, men betjeningen halter.
Dette er ikke de unge menneskers skyld, men manglende oplæring ville hjælpe.
Vi var 4 personer til spisning og bestilte 2 slags øl til maden, efter at have ventet rigtig længe på drikkevarerne, kom tjeneren retur og sagde at begge typer var udsolgt, så vi valgte 2 andre slags som vi fik, der var så gået 40 minutter og vi kunne bestille maden. Maden var rigtig lækker og vi var ikke i tvivl om at det var gode råvare, der var lækkert tilberedt.
Den unge tjener vidste ikke meget om hverken drikkevarer eller mad, som man må forvente i denne prisklasse.
Kommer måske igen.
15/12/2024: It was a bit of a coincidence that sometime in the autumn we ended up booking a table at Skoemagerkroen to eat our annual pub Christmas lunch there. And we were also somewhat excited about what would actually meet us. 😊
But from the first second it was just a good impression of the place, the staff, the food, the atmosphere - which was confirmed again and again throughout the entire visit.
We had ordered the place's Christmas table, which is served in several rounds at the table, and EVERYTHING was really nicely arranged, well-flavored, balanced, super delicious and fresh, clearly made from scratch. Especially the liver pâté with the place's home-smoked bacon, the also home-smoked pork fillet with collard greens and then the rice salamander with the heavenly port wine-flavored cherry sauce was absolutely in a class of its own! 😍 But please note: EVERYTHING was incredibly delicious! 😊
When we add to that the fact that we only met wonderful, calm, warm and welcoming service and that the inn rooms were idyllically and tastefully decorated with fireplaces, decorated Christmas trees, inviting golden light and a great many acoustic records (we could easily carry on a conversation in a normal tone despite a full house ❤️), we can't land anything other than top marks.
The price was also touching: Per per cover, the Christmas table cost DKK 450 - and there was plenty of good food 🤤 Drinks came on top of course.
