Very positive surprised dine out on Amager. For everyone that’s not from Amager it’s an absolute hidden gem. Super cozy and friendly atmosphere. Food is fresh, local and seasonal. On top of that very tasty and nicely arranged. This time tipster guided us to Øens Spisested, but we know we will be back without a voucher. 😋

Good culinary food made from local products. Focus on good food. p.s. it is best to book online in advance. It is possible to eat outside and there is a map in the restaurant where you can see where the local goods are picked up at Amager itself. The prices are reasonable in relation to the good quality of food that we were served. In the summer there is the possibility to sit outside. They also have the opportunity to try their local menus on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

We had the full menu which was truly impressive. The ingredients were freshly obtained from locals and each dish was so creative. The service was impeccable and every dish was explained. One of the best restaurants in Copenhagen.

Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating service. The food is unsurpassed and is a feast for the eyes and the palate. However, I think that the dish with pigeon was too powerful and didn't really fit in. There should have been cheese instead of after the main course. It would also be appropriate if at the start you drew attention to all the drinks you did not have in stock. But all in all, a fantastic local gem that can be highly recommended.

Lee's Kitchen

28/07/2025: We hit that point in the trip when all we wanted was something familiar to eat, and by familiar I mean rice. Google led us to Lee’s Kitchen and there were about five parties ahead of us, but we were committed, so we waited. The temperature dropped a few degrees while we stood there which only made me hungrier and slightly dramatic in my head about it. When it was finally our turn, we were told we could either order through the barcode or walk back to the counter. We are a family style crew through and through, so we went for it. I am pretty sure we scared the table next to us when dish after dish started arriving for a family of three. The server even offered to bag my custard buns because the table looked like a very delicious game of Tetris. We had duck, which came with a theatrical sauce pour and a puff of smoke that looked like a mini magic trick, mapo tofu, fried wonton, Szechuan chicken, crispy eggplant and sweet and sour chicken. It was good, solid Chinese food. Not the best I have ever had but exactly what my vacation soul needed. Sometimes comfort food wins over Michelin stars. Just my honest opinion.
