Our evening was perfect; we chose the short menu and we were delighted and amazed with every dish. Simple with local and fresh ingredients, but with a perfect mix of surprising flavors. Our 3 year old was served a menu of her own which she loved and the cook was adorable, coming to our table to see if we liked the food. We highly recommend this jem of a restaurant.

One of the most enjoyable dining experiences of my life. I chose the 10-course “Around the Island” option and it was worth every penny, or DKK as the case may be. I asked them to choose wine pairings for me; if your budget allows for this, do it. Amazing, delicious and delightful experience in every way.

I wish more people would open their eyes to this little gem on Amager. As an Amager native, I am pleased that we have such a wonderful restaurant, where Yngve and his team put so much effort into spreading awareness of local ingredients. Everything is original and tasty, and with the island around the menu, you are guaranteed a great experience. Amar'mad in a new way. Øens Spisehus deserves many more guests.

Lovely place on Amager great food beer and wines

A very friendly place. We hadn't made a reservation and were treated in a very friendly manner to seasonal, fresh, local produce. Rounded off with an excellent wine and unusual local grappa.

This was the best meal I have ever had. Each of the courses were exquisite, unique and the level of thought was exceptional. The service was lovely. I have a shellfish allergy and they were very accommodating. It was evident that the ingredients were locally sourced and fresh. My favorites were the raw trout and the deer. That being said, I have nothing but amazing things to say about each of the courses. The food and experience were very much worth the price. I can't recommend Øens Spisested enough. Although it is outside of the central part of the city, it is a must visit place, and you won't be disappointed. If there is one place in Copenhagen that I would like to revisit, it would be this.
