We had a truly fantastic evening at Ganløse Kro, for a Christmas event with entertainment and dancing. The food is really delicious and tasty, and homemade, and the staff provides the best and friendliest service. The atmosphere was really good, and we could easily talk even though the music was playing later in the evening. We will definitely be back soon, and can only recommend visiting the inn.

Review based on 3 different visits over approx. 2 months. Visit 1: Food 4/5 - Service 0/5 - Atmosphere 1/5. Guests: 5. 3 adults and 2 children. Comment: There are many people who are employed in the wrong job, and we had one like that as a waiter. Grumpy and surly and did not speak very nicely, not even to the two children. The food was served with a "here". Personally, I like dogs, but I definitely do not think it is ok that they let a big dog run around among the diners! The food is actually not bad at all! Of course, one would wish that the quality of the meat came with the price, but right must be right, the food is 4/5 on this evening. Everything else is a scandal. One of the guests said that he would not come again. Visit 2: Food 5/5 - Service 5/5 - Atmosphere 4/5. Guests: 4. 2 adults and 2 children. Comment: A newly hired waiter did everything she could to ensure that we and the other guests had a good experience. The food was just right! The atmosphere was good, but other guests were incredibly loud. In general, it is a place where there is unfortunately a lot of noise. Visit 3: Food 2/5 - Service 0/5 - Atmosphere 0/5. Guests: 3 adults. Wow! Now we are back at the same service level as on visit 1. On all 3 visits we have had different female waiters, and we can conclude that new to the profession provide significantly higher service than those who have been in the business for a long time, which is extremely surprising. Unfortunately, the food on this evening was nothing to shout about, and on this evening it still shines through that the quality simply does not match the price. Conclusion: Ganløse kro cannot live up to the memories I have of the place. Whether it's a change of ownership or staff who should have retired that's the problem, I don't know, but a sad fact is that my now old review of the place here has now been heavily revised. Maybe they're still good at making fried pork, which used to be their draw. I don't know, because on the 3 visits, that wasn't what we came for. The level of service means that I simply can't in good conscience recommend anyone to visit the place. Unfortunately, because the food is actually ok (although a bit too expensive for the quality). Thanks for the food.

Christmas lunch on November 21st the food is good but the entertainment was very poor

Went to a revue where the menu was fried pork with parsley sauce. Impressive... 150 participants I guess. Everyone got delicious crispy pork, firm new potatoes, really good sauce.... Everything was hot and delicious, and everyone got their food at the same time. Super good restaurant with honest, well-cooked Danish food... Can be recommended👍

The best Wienerschnitzel on Wednesdays

Staff were efficient. High quality food. Buffet had plenty to choose from. Price was medium range. Over all Great.
