Hjaltes Ganløse Egedal

Best coffee I’ve had in Denmark! I’ve lived here two years and only just discovered Hjaltes recently, I’m delighted it’s on my doorstep.

Super cozy little cafe! Cozy and intimate atmosphere! A fantastic BMO with old crunch!

We have long wanted to visit Hjaltes and we were not disappointed. I had the pleasure of introducing the brunch concept to my younger children. I inquired first and there was a great willingness to help (they shared an adult menu) but also great openness. The food was really delicious and the selection wide and it was fresh and tasty - on par with brunch in Copenhagen. Especially the delicious sourdough buns and the coffee is hard to get as good out here. There was a nice older waiter and both her and Niklas (the owner) were nice and present and it felt like they sincerely wanted to give a good experience. I know where I'll get the coffee next time I'm going to the forest and I'm definitely going to Hjaltes after brunch again ❤️

Good coffee and good food. They have really good baked goods and good sandwiches. And now also good events (e.g. beer tasting). Brings life to a small town like Ganløse

Nice little cafe with a really delicious brunch menu. Fantastic after a walk in the nearest forest and the cozy village environment.

Friendly staff Super tasty food prepared with love. There's nothing more you can say because it was just perfect. Price performance was also absolutely fine. Food that inspires.

A small oasis with good time and pleasant service. Good thick slices of fresh rye bread for the smørrebrød. Good sandwiches. Try something with the parsley pesto👌
