A hidden oasis of peace and history in idyllic surroundings. Wonderful place with surprisingly good food and good service with the possibility to sit outside with a view of Hornbæk lake and the sea.👌

This review is for lunch in the restaurant and not for overnight stay It was very quiet in the restaurant during the day - which the staff did not notice.... Because the service was top notch, an attentive waiter who did his job with care - add to this a tasty lunch. This plate might seem small - but don't be fooled, because the dishes on the plate tasted excellent. I will come again 🤗

Just celebrated my 60th birthday and half of the company also stayed overnight. Everything was perfect. We were well received and had an unrivaled service, fantastic food and super good wines for dinner. The rooms were fine and so was the breakfast. We will come again, that's 100% sure. Thank you 🇩🇰🤗

13/07/2025: If you are looking for a good place to stay, spa and lovely breakfast, this is the place. Fantastic location, not far from the beach. Saunagus is also available, can definitely be recommended 😊 However, the Clevers charging stations do not work on the site. Tried several times. But apart from that, super nice place if you don't want to go too far when you live in Greater Copenhagen 😊 Update. Misleading information from a service employee from the reception. Was told that we only had access to the spa from 5:00 pm due to full booking. It was a direct lie. We have been 10 times before as mine. And never received anything like this, plus that our booking was not valid until he had to admit that it was. Bad experience and service.
28/06/2025: had a wonderful stay at Comwell Borupgaard! The spa was beautiful (indoor and outdoor), the food was delicious, and the staff were so friendly. The grounds felt peaceful and secluded, yet it was just a 5-minute walk from the train station—super convenient. No A/C, but the cool Danish weather and a fan made it very comfortable. Bonus: bikes and scooters available on-site!

25/06/2025: I liked that vibe and atmosphere. It was a cozy cafe with nice staff. I also liked my cake.
21/05/2025: Both food and coffee were very good. I am Italian and loved the cafe's take on the "Italian toast". Absolutely delicious. Their apple pie was also super nice. It's a great place to stop for refreshments and chill a bit before or after the Kronborg castle visit. Still, we visited on a Monday's afternoon, and could see the place was filled with locals rather than tourists: further proof of authenticity. Good prices too (considering local standards) and friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you are in Helsingor.
