08/08/2025: We ate fish & chips and shooting stars and they both tasted heavenly. And the fries were really good. We finished with ice cream from gelatto which is also the best ice cream in town.

16/06/2025: As tourists in the city, it was hard to see that there was a concept a la street food when you arrived on Frederiksø - where you could sit wherever you wanted and order food/drinks wherever you wanted. We therefore ended up sitting at a small table right in front of Madbar, where we could have gotten a better seat with a view of the water if there had been a sign at the entrance to the area explaining the concept. We waited 35 minutes for a Stjerneskud and once for Fish & Chips. My Stjerneskud tasted fine, but was difficult to eat with the plastic cutlery that came with it, not least because it was all in a box and not on a plate. My husband's Fish & Chips didn't have much flavor. I can in no way describe the atmosphere as cozy where we sat. The 179 kr. for a Stjerneskud felt completely out of place in relation to the surroundings, the service and the confusion we experienced by not being able to understand the concept upon arrival. We were told that it all has the same owner, so you could sit anywhere. But when we looked around, one thing was written on the umbrellas (Anarkist), and something else on all the food places. There was no common thread in the concept that clearly showed (us who don't live there/tourists) that it all belonged together and that you could sit wherever you wanted.
