Seafood in a cool atmosphere. The fact that you should eat fish, shellfish and mussels in the Baltic Sea metropolis of Copenhagen is a no-brainer. The fish bar offers a lot here: The 5 different types of oysters from all over the world and Razor Clams (Netherlands) were great. Unfortunately the lobster was a bit tough, but that may have been because the Christmas break started the next day. If you like something heartier, go for really good fish and chips.
The fish bar is also a paradise for natural wine lovers, with a focus on winemaker champagnes and white wines. The location itself is casual and cool, as expected in the land of Nordic design. The service is attentive, friendly and fast and as international as the guests.

This was a great experience for someone exploring the meatpacking district. Loved the vibe. The food. The staff. We even made friends with the people next to us. We Ordered the baby kys oysters which were so fresh and tasty even though it was the end of the day and the blue mussels which i also liked. Tenderlion Steak was out of this world. For the drinks we had the Rabarborista cocktail and i loved it. The service is up notch in terms of food presentation and waiters will explain to you your plate in detail ince its served. The place is so authentic with the all-white tiles. I loved that they havent changed the original place and kept the industrial slaughterhouse vibe! The price was high for us but we knew it before we went so was no surprise and the whole experience was worth it. So if you plan to go once above your trip budget this place is it.

Super cool place in an industrial district of Copenhagen. The food was really nice, maybe in terms of taste not that special for the price. The sea food seemed as fresh as it can get and we had a few glasses of wine which were very good. The atmosphere and decor gave trendy and hip vibes

Mediocre, over priced food. Don’t trust the hype, like I did. Food on picture was 175kr (22 euro) and it wasn’t unforgettable.

Amazing food! It was gorgeous presentation and phenomenal flavors. The oysters were the best I have ever had and the preparation of the scallops were my favorite.

The hotel where I stayed suggested the short walk to the Meatpacking District where I could have a wide variety of dining choices. Boy were they right! I had done a little online research about perhaps 6 of the multitude of available places and ended up choosing Fiskebar because I was in the mood for seafood.
The place was packed inside and out but I was able to get a seat at the bar. The couple next to me, a very interesting pair from Sweden, immediately engaged me in conversation. I think this is one of the conspicuous benefits of traveling solo. You meet people.
They offered to share their raw oyster appetizer with me, which I declined. Nonetheless, we ended up having a wonderful evening of animated conversation, and excellent food and service.
We were waited on by a charming New Yorker named Max who had only been in Copenhagen for a couple of months. He was a terrific server so if you have a chance to sit at the bar, look for Max and have a chat.
The food that I had was superb. I ordered a bowl of mussels that were steamed and served in a rich creamy wine sauce. The portion was very generous. I ordered a side of sourdough bread that was delivered with a generous blob of seaweed butter. I had never had such a thing before and it was delicious but I used most of the bread to sop up the sauce that the mussels were swimming in.
I also had a small side salad of baby romaine with some kind of delicious dressing that I think was topped with pesto. All that food, and a pint of Carlsberg beer (on tap) and the tab was about $38. I was stuffed and completely delighted with my meal.
