We had an amazing dinner at Krebsegaarden tonight. Carsten and Mats made us feel truly welcome with their warm and personal service. We really felt like home! The food was delicious, creative, and beautifully prepared, and the wine pairings were simply perfect. To finish, the unique dessert of 17 different Danish cheeses was absolutely outstanding. A cozy, intimate atmosphere that made the whole evening unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Fabulous experience all around. Great staff. Super welcoming and made us feel like we had known them for years! The food was delicious, especially with the wine pairings. So much thought and care went into each dish—especially the sauces! Phenomenal.

One of the best restaurants I visited around the world (and I’m a food traveler). Great food, but the service is something else. The chefs comes to the table and explains everything in a passionate nice way. I really loved it!

First visit to Restaurant Krebsegården will not be the last - Absolutely fantastic food and warm atmosphere, where you really feel welcome and appreciated as a guest. Unlike many other Copenhagen restaurants, there is plenty of time to enjoy the food and no reservation required. HIGHLY recommended! Thanks for a memorable evening to Mats and the rest of the team at Krebsegården, see you again soon.

So delicious food, amazing owners with a high service level. When you visit you are invited into a little family and every course have a special story with them. The food is cooked with a huge amount of details to the ingredients and balance. Definitely not my last visit

Great, cozy restaurant. Very friendly and pleasant service. We had the taster menu. Highly recommended. Fantastic chanterelle soup and many small tasting courses. Plus a great selection of French, Austrian, and German white and red wines. Kudos to Mats and Carsten!

We would like to thank you for a wonderful evening with Carsten and Mats. We were guided through the evening by two wonderful hosts and humorous entertainers and were able to enjoy a truly divine dinner, which stood out not only for the professionalism of the kitchen crew but also for the perfect wine pairing. If Copenhagen weren't already worth seeing, Krebsegaarden would be reason enough for a visit to the city. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It’s quite simply one of the best service, and best tasting resturants in Copenhagen. You feel at home, and we we’re so well taken care of. It’s hard to describe, book a table and you will see.

Con una reputación tan merecida, este pequeño restaurante estaba lleno con una treintena de invitados, suficiente para justificar dos servidores. Carsten y Mats no son solo camareros, sino anfitriones acogedores en todos los sentidos. No solo dividieron las mesas entre sí, sino que prestaron atención a todos los que cenaban en su dominio. El menú se limitó a tres opciones para cada uno de los entrantes, platos principales y postres, y fueron capaces de explicar hasta el último detalle de los platos, con el fin de ayudar a cada invitado hacia una elección adecuada a su paladar. ¿Quieres ver la carta de vinos? No, uno de ellos te sugerirá exactamente qué vino encajará mejor con tus preferencias y con cada plato, después de quitarte detalles tentadores de sus atributos en términos de nariz, boca y acabado, en los que siempre estuvieron colocados. Los vinos eran todos extraños para mí que nunca hubiera seleccionado de una carta de vinos regular, todos de viñedos desconocidos y a menudo de regiones desconocidas. Aplaudirás las recomendaciones de Mats o Carsten. Incluso nuestros cócteles antes de la cena fueron una aventura. ¿La ginebra de Hendrick, por favor? Nada tan común, pero veamos algunas de estas interesantes ginebras Danesas. Chris tomó uno con notas cítricas encantadoras, mientras yo probaba audazmente una ginebra de color verde oscuro de aspecto bastante alarmante de una pequeña destilería con sabores complejos pero agradables, que incluso nuestro anfitrión estaba abriendo por primera vez. Ambos elegimos como primer plato las vieiras Danesas (más pequeñas pero más dulces que en otros lugares) sobre una cama de puré de alcachofas de Jerusalén con patatas fritas de manzana seca, todas las cuales casaban perfectamente entre sí. Mi plato fuerte fue la pintada de Guinea, y me explicaron cómo se usaba cada parte del ave, no solo la pechuga. Las piernas se deshuesaron y luego se rellenaron, con todo unido por una salsa cremosa de champiñones morados y algunas verduras de verano. Una de las opciones de postre fue un parfait (ruibarbo, creo) en remolacha de verano. ¿En serio? ¿Remolacha de postre? No podía dejar pasar esa oferta innovadora, y estaba deliciosa. Para cada curso tenías la opción de una porción pequeña o grande, y elegimos pequeña. Chris quería queso para su postre, y llegó como una tabla con bocados de quince (! ) Quesos Daneses, similares a Cheddar, Gouda, Brie, y otros, terminando con seis quesos azules. Las piezas eran lo suficientemente amplias para que yo también disfrutara de la mitad de cada una. Nos hablaron un poco sobre cada uno de los quesos, ilustrando de nuevo el cuidado que nuestros anfitriones dedicaron a sus huéspedes. Ganamos un respeto aún mayor por los queseros Daneses, aunque nos entristeció pensar que nunca veríamos en el extranjero los frutos de estos modestos productores que Mats y Carsten habían buscado personalmente. Pero si tienes tiempo en Copenhague, ve al mercado Torvehallerne, donde hay varios mostradores de queso deliciosos. Me apetecía un digestif bastante más fuerte para redondear la noche, pero en su lugar me empujé a probar en lugar de vaso de Oporto un vaso de Banyuls al 16 %, que encajaba perfectamente con el queso. En resumen, esta fue una noche verdaderamente memorable, tanto por los exquisitos platos como por las pequeñas charlas con Carsten y Mats, que estaban tan interesados en nosotros como nosotros en su restaurante y sus deliciosas ofertas. En nuestra primera noche en Copenhague, nuestra admiración por Dinamarca alcanzó un nuevo nivel.

06/12/2025: Visited in Nov 2025 Kadeau had been on my list of restaurants to visit for a long time, and I got lucky with a lunch reservation during my recent trip to CPH. In this trip, which included visits to Noma, Koan, and Kadeau, I must say that Kadeau was the best dining experience of the three. For entering the restaurant, you’ll have to ring the bell at the side of the black entrance door. Before being taken to my seat I was given a short tour of the kitchen and the restaurant which I thought to be a nice gesture. The tasting menu comprises 17-18 courses (including the amuse bouche courses). The entire menu is so well thought out in terms of ingredients, variation of flavour profiles and the progression of the dishes from start to finish. Among the starter courses, my favourite was the prawns with figs. Among the mains, my favourite courses were the salmon and the langoustine. For drinks, I went with the non-alcoholic pairing. There were 7 beverages in total through the duration of the meal, which in my view was the perfect number of drinks. All the beverages were quite decent and I think I made a good choice to go with the non-alcoholic pairing. Service was fantastic. The staff constantly attend to you throughout the meal with any requests you may have. The folks were so kind, polite and jovial. The restaurant also catered to a particular allergy I had (which I had informed them about while making the reservation). Overall, this is a brilliant fine-dining establishment and my experience here was equivalent to any three star place in the world. So I hope they get their 3rd star soon.

10/12/2025: It's always nice to come to activities in Absalon. From South Jutland cake table-banko to creative pursuits like clay and painting. There are super cool activities that are very popular. There is always a good atmosphere in the house
