We had a reunion luncheon with our friends and their family at Pilekælderen Restaurant during our visit to Copenhagen in February 2024, and really enjoyed our time there. A cosy little place with charm and comfort Restaurant Pilekælderen serves up some delicious Danish classics that make us feel like we have indeed arrived in Denmark. The service team was incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive. Thank you for your kind hospitality & We will be back again!

Such a lovely place. You could walk by it as it’s below the sidewalk but the inside is spacious and full of light. Greeter/server was so polite and welcoming. Fantastic selection of lunch open faced sandwiches and our choices were delicious and beautifully presented.

A typical restaurant, quality cuisine and super friendly staff! A very nice surprise and I think the perfect place to discover Danish cuisine.

Absolutely wonderful cosy place. We had a somewhat large party after our wedding in the city. The waiters were very welcoming and hospitable. Food was great typical Danish fare. We couldn't even finish all the food! But the waiters kindly packed it up for us in a to go bag. No regrets at all with this restaurant

Rigtig lækkert smørrebrød, på hjemmebagt rugbrød. Alt var friskt og tilberedt til bestilling med meget god smag og hjemmelavede komponenter. Kan helt klart anbefales. De to mandlige tjenere var også super søde, imødekommende og skabte en dejlig stemning i restauranten. Desserterne var også super smagfulde og lækre.

01/04/2024: We came to this city just to eat and dine in places and this has been one of our best gastronomic experiences in Copenhagen. Great Danish cuisine. I would repeat without hesitation.
29/03/2024: Great, attentive and always smiling personel. Just the service gave us very comfortable feeling to stay. Food is very tasty with attention to detail.

30/03/2024: We had the sliced pork, fried fish with shrimp, and the minced meat dish. (Don’t remember the Danish names). We were looking around for a restaurant because we’re only here on a layover. All were booked solid. This restaurant was able to squeeze us in. I’ll admit that I’m not familiar with Danish cuisine. We just asked to bring us the best they had. It was all delicious. Even my teenage daughter liked it. Nice presentation. Delicious foods. Some flavor combinations I’ve never tried before. This is why we decided to visit Copenhagen during our layover.
