The food and service were good. The only downside is that you need to allow plenty of time, as everything is freshly prepared.

The burger was recommended and we were very satisfied. The veggie burger was also excellent. Very friendly and welcoming service.

Really tasty food!! Absolutely delicious starter with Faroese salmon, the flavour combination was perfect. Very cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. Friendly staff. The only downside was that the steak was completely overcooked, which was a shame when it was such a delicious piece of meat. There was also a bit of a wait for the main course but it was also the first evening with a new menu card so that was probably to be expected. SO apart from the "shamefully cooked" steak it was a lovely experience and very delicious food despite this. We will definitely come again and have already recommended the restaurant to friends and family 🤩😁

Restaurant Bryggen is located in the old brewery in the middle of Østergade – close to the harbor, close to the beautiful, close to the city's small cafes and life. But even if you're not already close, I would recommend coming. Because Bryggen is not just a meal. It's a little adventure disguised as dinner. You enter a room that is exactly the right size to make your shoulders soft. Not so small that you sit with your elbows on the side of the person next to you – and fortunately not so large that the presence disappears. The staff has an overview. They see you. And you feel that something is happening here. Because something is happening. When the food arrives, it's as if your imagination is allowed to run wild. The plates don't just land – they introduce themselves. Here is an owner who will make a little more effort than you might have dared to hope for. Behind it all is Phong Thanh, a graduate of the legendary Falsled Kro here on Funen. His foundation in classic French cuisine meets his Vietnamese roots, and in that meeting something special is born. It is not fusion for the sake of fusion. It is respect – for the raw material, for the craftsmanship and for the taste. You can taste the discipline of the French. You can smell the aromas of the Asian. And in between stands Funen – solid and generous. I had a quiet hope that evening. Because I come from the neighborhood myself. It would almost hurt if I couldn't give a full house of stars. Local patriotism can be a fragile thing. But when I went out into the frosty winter evening, there was no doubt. The sky over Assens was full of stars. And five of the biggest had landed on Bryggen.
