Pleasant surroundings. What we got to eat was ok except for the one dessert (pancakes with ice cream). The pancakes were completely stiff and couldn't possibly be fresh. It went back and was replaced by a new portion. In addition to this, NOK 99 for such a small dessert is just over the top.

Really cozy and rustic (meaning nice) place with a very focused, Danish menu - without any frills. I had a really excellent sirloin steak with buttered bread and a perfectly cooked, juicy steak on top. The service is on the slow side, but the food is definitely worth the wait.

I had the roast beef smørrebrød, 2 chicken & asparagus tartares and a Danish beer, all very tasty and definitely recommended! ☺️

24/03/2024: Hugely delicious food in Stalden - and at good prices
09/03/2024: Incredibly delicious food, a really good taste experience, at least on starters and desserts. The main course was rather tasteless, it was chicken and hake. However, there was a very long time between servings. Cozy concept with serving on small platters and our cases for 3 people per platter. At the weekend, ad libitum wine, beer, soda and water are served.

01/04/2024: There weren't many people, but still the buffet wasn't full
30/03/2024: We ate at the flame in Odense. The food was without a doubt delicious and warm, as well as many options of food for the buffet. However, I think our cutlery was a bit large/violent for the food.
