Good evening with lovely food and wine.

Return visit to HOS Even though it had been four years since I last stopped by, that piece of chicken salad still stands out in my memory as the best serving of chicken salad I've had. That's why I was looking forward to another lunch at HOS. We had decided to drive off the E20 and take a lunch stop on our trip towards Copenhagen. With six years behind me, I feared that the everyday drumbeat had set in, but let me say it right away: Everything was sharp that Friday, and before I left the table, I was already starting a mental exercise to find a suitable time to pass by Odense again. I was served: Fried cod roe with taramasalata, roasted cabbage & marinated onions Caramelized Jerusalem artichokes with Gammel Knas, hollandaise & truffle Both tasted enchanting and it was impossible to pick a favourite. However, I would say that the cod roe was unusually well balanced, stood sharp and was not overloaded. The rye bread was visible from all four sides and thus came to its full potential – both visually and in terms of taste. I still need to get on board the herring, which is clearly my favorite smørrebrød, but there are spiced schnapps and tempting glances from the beautiful wooden counter. So I surrender when I drop by for a longer stay. HOS stands out for smørrebrød, which rises far above the standard, as well as a super attentive service that shows great professionalism - without losing the relaxed atmosphere. I would also like to mention that there are good chairs, good space between the tables, and that the raw bricks create a slightly cave-like feeling, which all in all contributes to a cozy atmosphere.

HOS offers a truly unique dining experience. Delicious food, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff make you want to come back here once more. The dishes are beautifully served and definitely worth the price. Highly recommended!

Had another lunch at HOS😅 Taste, service and atmosphere are among the very best in Odense. Really a nice place.

Smørrebrød is taken to a higher level here. They are simply picky about every piece that has an almost artistic expression. Taste and composition are definitely interesting. The service is friendly, fast and professional. It is also not at the cheap end, so you could perhaps refrain from taking money for a bottle of water when you have bought drinks.

Været her en del gange såvel til frokost som aftensmad, og det er altid et sikkert valg til lækker mad , hygge og god stemning. Vi fik den store menu og efter snacks fulgte 6 retter som alle var smukke og velsmagende. Et par af os fik også deres ostesevering og den var virkelig god og anderledes. Her hos HOS er du altid sikker på meget kyndig servering ligesom den er nærværende og stedet bare emmer af god stemning. Kommer helt sikkert igen og til anbefaling i Odense er det no-brainer og et must go sted.

Jeg var på besøg med to amerikanere til frokost og vi fik den bedste oplevelse. Kanon lækkert smørrebrød og den bedste service jeg har fået længe. Amerikanerne gik derfra helt forbløffet. En restaurant i top form!!
