Tokyo Restaurant deserves the highest possible rating. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My girlfriend and I had a Tokyo Special Menu and a Sukiyaki Menu. What I especially appreciated was the authenticity of the dishes. The restaurant stays true to Japanese flavours and traditions rather than significantly adapting the food to local Scandinavian tastes. This makes the experience feel much more genuine and distinctive. Everything we tried was delicious, carefully prepared, and full of flavour. Combined with the excellent service and inviting atmosphere, it made for a truly memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Tokyo Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Japanese food.

Every dish was unbelievably fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic Japanese flavors. The only “complaint”… the portions are HUGE! 😄 We wanted to try everything, but there was just so much delicious food. If you want to escape into the world of authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place. Amazing service, outstanding quality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back! ごちそうさまでした！

This was my second visit at Tokyo Restaurant for a celebratory dinner and the food was delicious, the service outstanding, and I will certainly be back. We ordered the sake menu and the Tokyo menu and it was a sumptuous, satisfying amount of food. Every dish was tasty with the sashimi standing out for freshness, the tempura for lightness, and the sukiyaki for its distinct umami flavour. I can highly recommend their gyuudon bowl for lunch too. The service and atmosphere is also tranquil, so I feel transported back to my trips to Japan. Heartily recommended!

We had a really good experience at restaurant Tokyo. It was our first visit and we found it really authentic and cozy. The food was simple and good, lovely ingredients and wonderful flavors. Worth a visit for a trip to Tokyo while in Copenhagen. Also a child-friendly place, especially when sitting on the tatami area. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

The food was simply great for the price and the overall atmosphere is nothing but wonderful, however my experience wasn’t what I hoped. To go into detail about my experience, I booked the restaurant in advance as I have always wanted to dine at Tokyo and we were looking forward to celebrating our career milestones in whatever way we can. When we got there, you are immediately immersed in an environment that is unique and special. We took off our shoes, got escorted directly to our table where we ordered 2 different types of menus. This is where the unfortunate issue came in. About 30 minutes in to ordering, the staff forgot to give us our appetizers and they did apologize, but they then had to serve the appetizers at the same time as the main course. With this decisions, we were hungry but also overwhelmed. Suddenly there was just too much on our table that, we didn’t really get to enjoy the experience and focused on the main course which was great. Staff came and apologized again and I thought we would just leave it at there as I understand it can get quite stressful; but shortly afterwards I we overheard the other table also getting an apology for their food being late and they were offered drinks on the house, which rubbed us off the wrong way. The staff came again and we immediately just ask for our tea and ice cream as we felt bummed out by the experience. Again the food was great, no notes. It was just this experience that left a bad taste in our mouth.

Very tasty simple home style meals from Japan. First time here but I will definitely be back. Delicious food, good service. Thank you!
