Good classic bistro food, in pleasant, relaxed surroundings and with good, friendly service.. Clear recommendation

Este restaurante estaba ocupado y estábamos agradecidos de que nos encajaron sin reserva. El servicio era bueno, pero por desgracia es muy ruidoso, que es quizás por qué el camarero malinterpretó nuestra orden y mi marido consiguió un filete bien hecho en lugar de uno raro. La comida estaba todo bien, sin embargo y el personal encantador, así que todo bien.

Really good restaurant with great food, very good service, and nice atmosphere. Located nicely in the city centre Copenhagen. The beef options are great.

Lovely delicious and tasty food. We were there for dining week and you could tell that they had a lot to do. However, the food and service were not overwhelmingly marked by it. We had a very smiling and attentive waiter and the food was good - however, their béarnaise sauce didn't really taste of anything but everything else was great.

This is by far the best steakhouse and bistro in Copenhagen. I have been travelling to Copenhagen for work all through 2024 and had the opportunity to try quite a few different places. In 2025 i decided that Retour is the best place to get a steak and have been there 5 times already in 2025. The service and ambience is excellent and laid back - not at all pretentious - this is really appreciated. The steaks, particularly the 400g ribeye is a standout on the menu. The consistency the kitchen achieves time and time again is fantastic and it shows that they really understand meat. The sear on the steak is done to perfection with a high degree of aromatics, furthermore, its simply done which underlines the quality of the ingredients used. Retour is an absolute highlight and the only reservation i have on writing such positive reviews is that they might become too busy for me! Highly recommended - best steak in Copenhagen - best steak in the Nordics!

We visited yesterday evening and weren't sure how bit would go with our 5 month old son. The staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful all the way through, asking how it was volume wise and checking in that we and him were OK. The food was the best we've had in Denmark in 5 visits over the last4 years. Couldn't fault this restaurant at all and will happily come back next time we're in Copenhagen!

We visited during dining week and the food was top notch. Not a finger to put. Delicious steak, fries and sauce. The dessert maybe a little boring with caramel tart, but all in all very good. The waiters were also very nice. That the food quality can be so good during dining week, when there is extra pressure, is a huge plus

dining week, so super cheap DKK 250 for 3 courses (usually costs more than double), the meat was super delicious and excellent wine

Warm side dish for main course. Upon inquiry it was called room temperature Jerusalem artichokes in room temperature gravy 🤔😵‍💫. Ahhh strange. But good steak.

10 estrellas. Retour es un fantástico lugar para cenar, que ofrece un ambiente acogedor que le pone al instante a gusto. El personal es increíblemente atento, asegurándose de que cada detalle es perfecto. Una gran opción para una comida memorable!
