The food was incredible and the staff even more so! So friendly and welcoming, and the grandmother serving food made it so cozy.

Fantastically good food and great service!

From the legendary Central Café to one of Nyborg's best restaurant experiences… After three hours of pure enjoyment and food-hygge, I can say with full conviction that Roeds Brasserie is my favorite place on East Funen when the taste buds need to be pampered. Roeds is, however, much more than just a place you go to eat. It is a place you look forward to visiting. The menu impressively manages to be both narrow and broad at the same time, clear without feeling limited. There is clear thought behind the selection, and it works. At the same time, Roeds understands something that many restaurants overlook: That going out to eat is about more than just the food. The background music fits the mood perfectly. Loud enough to create atmosphere, low enough that you can still have a conversation without having to raise your voice. It all feels well thought out. And then there is the feeling of being welcome. From the moment you enter, you are greeted by an atmosphere that is elegant without being stiff or formal. There is room for both a shirt and a dress, but also for completely casual everyday clothes. The service is quick without seeming intrusive, and the staff is both humorous and genuinely welcoming. For some, it may almost seem “too friendly”, but that probably says more about how used we have become to superficial service. Here it feels genuine. The food is presented briefly and precisely, after which you are allowed to experience the dishes for yourself. Simple, but enormously effective. The portions strike the balance really well. You are full without feeling heavy or overwhelmed - in fact, just so satisfied that you end up sitting and wondering if there is still room for a little more. I myself had doubts about the dessert for a long time, but in the end had to admit that it was simply too appealing to be without. In terms of price, Roeds is on the higher end of Nyborg, but if you compare the overall experience with other restaurants in town, the list of real competitors quickly becomes very short. A definite recommendation from here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
