All in all, a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was even better. I have never experienced such a welcoming restaurant manager, or such a good atmosphere throughout the service. I had the lobster and hake, and they are the best two dishes I have had anywhere. The wine recommendations were absolutely solid and supported the food well. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A real gem worth stopping in Nyborg for! A real gastronomic experience where the dishes are well composed and precisely flavored but a wine list that is carefully selected to match the dishes!

A super super gem, in the beautiful streets of Nyborg we got 2 dishes and 2 delicious bottles of wine that went sublimely with the food, the service was really good not too much not too little. The white asparagus was perfectly prepared with accompanying hand-peeled fjord shrimp. The chicken was wonderfully prepared and the veal tenderloin was so tender and deliciously prepared that you only needed a fork. The new potatoes from Nyborg and the well-cooked vegetables were so delicious, this cozy place is really a place you can recommend with your hand on your heart.

In Nyborg (the old part and close to highway) you find Roeds Bistro! Try "stjerneskud" (salmon, shrimps and plaice)! So Nice! 5 stars!

We had a wonderful evening with excellent food, which we were recommended by the German-speaking owner. Very well prepared plaice with the best Riesling as an accompanying wine. For dessert, a crème brûlée that tasted excellent. The owner was always attentive and friendly, so it was a very cozy and pleasant evening. When we come back to Nyborg, another visit is definitely planned.

Vi skulle til koncert på Bastionen og valgte at spise på Roeds som optakt. Det var svært at løsrive sig. Maden var fortræffelig og hertil et godt udvalg af drikkevarer. Den fremragende servicering og den engagerede vært gav vores aften noget helt særligt. Hvis jeg boede tættere på ville Roeds være mit stamsted.

10/08/2025: Impossibly cosy restaurant right by the beach in lovely Nyborg Strand. The restaurant is always busy which can make one feel a little invisible, but one is always certain that the staff is doing their best to make you feel good running from table to table. Portions are on the small side, even for a gourmet restaurant. Some dishes and part of dishes did not present themselves the best way. Expressing this to the staff did not lead to any accommodations. Excellent cheese trolley. Extensive wine list, though quite pricey. The air quality in the restaurant should be a focus area.
