A fantastic restaurant visit. Fairly intimate restaurant with attentive and competent service. The food is top notch. We took the three course menu with juice. Appetizer and main course really good food. You are pretty full. Then comes the dessert and completely knocks one's legs away. Wow! The place can definitely be recommended!

A place that is clearly worth visiting if you are in Svendborg. Absolutely fantastic and down to earth service. Tasty and beautifully presented food. The truffle chips were a bit salty though. Good food for the price.

A small "hidden" gem of a French bistro located in one of Svendborg's small cozy streets. Great food at a good price and good service from the staff. We are lucky enough to be here while there was a full house and despite that, we could easily sit and talk calmly together. Great recommendation. Especially on the tartare and the onion tart.

Truly a super experience with an intimate atmosphere

Charming spot behind coach doors off a pedestrian street. A menu promising a change from burger joints etc of which there are several in Svendborg. I watched the chef and suos-c meticulous prep of each plate and it was impressive. Salad Nicoise with seared tuna not timed! Could have done with a bite ! Anchovies may be hackneyed but they would make a big difference to this dish. Onion pie nicely presented (see above) and tasty, but the pastry was overwhelmed by the contents (crispy onions (they weren't) and cheese). ..a shame. But the chips.. lamentable. They would qualify for treatment under an erectile disfunction programme. Soft and soggy. Recounted this to the waitress on her enquiry as to how things were.. why is it this stupid singsong enquiry at restaurants..when the follow up of having to do something when the answer is in the negative? Poor staff training? Arrogance that 'all is always good'.? I don't know. But she seemed nonplussed. And there was no report back or follow up. Danish insouciance ? Or just plain confusion. My beer wasn't charged so that was a token, or an oversight. And on that topic.. drinks. BEWARE THE WATER TORTURE (of the wallet). This restaurant had the simple variant of (Water @20dk. if not consuming other beverages). Other restaurants in Denmark have similar policies to charge for tap water. BEWARE. I guess it's part of the system but if a tip is prompted on the bill or even worse on the terminal... well you have a choice.. I would opine that table water offered and proffered is part of Service. If it's charged it's not. So it's hardly service with tipping is it ? So 3 stars. Pity that the fastidiousness of the chef tripped over it's apron strings here;it has the potential to be a really good venue.. LAB
