Ok food. When there was a delay in paying they had taken 800 too much, there were 2 of us, there was no apology for the mistake. Which is very bad style. The atmosphere was ok. A cozy older environment

It's ok food. Service is also nice. Atmosphere is ok. But I think it's too expensive, it's not a place I want to come back to.

The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that feels both old-world and welcoming—green checkered tablecloths, neatly set tables, and walls decorated with Danish art and vintage pieces. It gives you the sense of stepping into a place where tradition is truly valued. Food & Drinks I tried one of Denmark’s national treasures, Stegt Flæsk med Persillesovs (crispy pork with parsley sauce and potatoes). The pork was perfectly crisp on the outside yet tender, paired with boiled potatoes sprinkled with parsley. The creamy parsley sauce tied it all together beautifully—comfort food at its finest. I also enjoyed a starter of Tartelet, a flaky pastry filled with creamy chicken and asparagus. Rich, hearty, and a true classic Danish dish. To complement the meal, I had a Danish beer on tap, which paired really well with the richness of the food. Experience The service was warm and attentive, with the staff making sure the experience matched the quality of the food. Everything came out in good timing, and the portions were generous, perfect for a traditional Danish dinner. Overall Sand’s Restauration is the place to go if you want a taste of real Danish tradition in Esbjerg. From the authentic dishes to the cozy, old-fashioned interior, it’s an experience that makes you feel connected to Danish culture. Highly recommend trying the stegt flæsk here—it’s as traditional as it gets, and absolutely delicious.

We discovered Sand's by chance while strolling through the pedestrian zone. In sunny weather, we were able to enjoy the beer garden, the delicious food, and the attentive service. And all at a more than reasonable price. And it was great that we were able to bring our dog onto the terrace without any problems. Thank you for the delicious food 🙏🏻
