Stoppestedet Fanø

We've been coming to Fanø for over 32 years, and our journey always includes a visit to Stoppestedet! Ownership has changed, renovations have taken place, but the fantastic quality of the food has remained constant throughout! Even though the menu has become smaller over time, it's always worth a visit! 👍 And the soft-serve ice cream is the best on the island! 🤩

Another delicious meal. The portions are huge. The interior has a lovely update. A must-visit on every trip to Fanø.

We regularly visit Stoppestedet on vacation and have always been very satisfied – good food, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. However, we were a bit disappointed on our last visit. The portion was significantly smaller than the day before, even though the price remained the same. When we politely mentioned this, we were told that it was "luck" that the portion had been larger yesterday. Frankly, we found this disappointing – you don't expect that kind of response when you're a regular customer. A few more fries and a bit more onion would have been enough to make up for the difference – it certainly wouldn't have been much effort, but it would have left us happy. It's a shame, because we generally really enjoy eating here. We hope that next time it will be as good as it used to be – then it will definitely be five stars again.

We only had cappuccino. It was really bad. Lukewarm, no decent milk foam, and the coffee tasted so-so. The piece of chocolate they offer is delicious. And the service was very friendly, too. If the coffee had been good, the value for money would have been okay. Maybe we were just unlucky because we arrived very early, just after they opened, at just after 12.

They have a menu in German and English. It's more like fast food to go plus an ice cream parlor. Prices are reasonable, even a bit cheap for Denmark. You order at the counter and pick up yourself. It might be a bit slow during peak season, but the wait isn't long during off-season.

Every time we're on the island, at least one visit is a must. The food is always delicious, including Stjerneskud.

Delicious fish and chips, and very close to the beach. We'd love to go back!

The food was very, very delicious. The price was completely reasonable, too. Great location, right on the beach. A must-visit on every vacation. And the service was very friendly and helpful.

I visited again after a few years and was very pleasantly surprised. I'll be going there more often now. If you order a small fries, don't even think about a bowl at the sausage stand. It's enough for at least two people.
