Villa Vest Hjørring

Villa Vest is fantastic. Unique and cozy restaurant on top of the dune with a direct view of the beautiful North Sea. We had the big lunch which gave us a culinary tour that cannot be described as anything other than fantastic. Very friendly staff. We left there well-fed. The lunch took 2.5 hours, which fit perfectly with the table reservation.

Good and exciting food and ditto wines, but stairs everywhere. Outside and inside. Not suitable for those with walking difficulties!

We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children. We chose the large tasting menu + wine package. Very good! Also very nice and knowledgeable service. Even the children (6 and 8 years old) were happy with the food and service. As an extra plus we got our own room. Update 2025: still top notch - fantastic food and nice and personal service. Same room as last year.

We had a really great experience at Villa Vest! The 3-course menu was super tasty, and everything we tried was full of flavor. They also had a 2-course kids’ menu, which my son loved—he finished everything with a smile. The service was friendly, and also the juice was delicious. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

This was an amazing place. We ate their on July 24; food phenomenal; wait staff excellent, and absolutely perfect views. The large tasting meal with wine pairings is an absolute must. One of the best food experiences we have ever had.

Fantastic experience! Beautiful surroundings, sublime food and wonderful service. A gem by the North Sea – we will definitely come again!

Vi spiste frokost i de smukkeste omgivelser, men var skuffet over frostmenuen. De forskellige kødretter (gris, kylling, tatar, kalvehjerte) var af billige råvarer og manglede smag. Desserten og de små startere var velsmagende, men alt i alt en lidt skuffende oplevelse.

Maten höll generellt hög nivå med något undantag. Servicen var högst medioker. Då vi hade en liten hund tvingades vi sitta ute. Ingen visade vägen runt huset och vi fick gå tillbaka och klättra över en mur, då vi inte fick gå genom restaurangen... Chambre separe var tydligen inget alternativ för där satt någon med dator och arbetade… Set menue där flera av rätterna (två varma och två kalla) kom samtidigt. Inte så smart när man sitter ute i blåsten. Allt blev kallt. Vi glömdes också bort där ute. Halvfull restaurang, blandat klientel. Turistdestination. Tillåter man män i T-shirts men väljer bort kunder med småhundar sommartid, är prioriteringen märklig. Oavsett hade en vi en trevlig vistelse.
