Wanted to stop and get some authentic Danish baking on our way down thru Denmark and Vissenbjerg Bageri did not disappoint. Every single thing was delicious - the savory ham and cheese rolls were a perfect road lunch and the pastries were a lovely dessert. We got two croissants, both with a marzipan and raspberry filling, one topped with chocolate and one with sugar and almonds, a pistachio danish and a raspberry tart. 10/10 all 👍

Vi kommer fra Nordsjælland for at købe Brunsviger.... Måske er der også andet på dagsprogremmet. Der var en halv tilbage ....😮 Det kalder jeg succes, men ærgerligt for os. Vi kommer igen, de er meget gode. Prøv den.

A truly fantastic bakery, worth driving a long way to find. Their farmer's buns and sausage rolls are a dream come true, and you'll never buy Føtex's bland rubber rolls again after you've tried Vissenbjergs. And don't underestimate the coffee either, it's really good! The crispbreads are also recommended. And it's much cheaper than Lagkagehuset and all the other run-down bakeries.

Excellent baked goods and cakes, but the price is a bit high when you consider that it is a suburban town, located 17km from the nearest big city.

Helnæs Kro

11/09/2025: There were 4 of us on a trip to Helnæs, and the only place where you could get lunch was at Helnæs Kro. We were given the menu as soon as we arrived, and it all looked good, but we were also offered 4 times plaice, just arrived, completely fresh. We accepted that offer and spent the waiting time drinking some absolutely wonderful beers from Midtfyns Bryghus. The plaice arrived and they were absolutely tasty and with good sauce and potatoes. Good service meant that we also ordered desserts and here we were not disappointed either, quite the opposite. We left happy.
29/08/2025: There were three of us, 2 Wienerschnitzel and 1 whole fried plaice, it was one of the best things we have eaten at a restaurant in a long time, with great taste and a very nice serving, highly recommended, was truly a pleasure 👍👍👍
