03/04/2024: The food was good, but since some of us were not supposed to have a buffet, the waiter had a different attitude so we felt we were an inconvenience, so that was the one time we came there.

28/03/2024: Was at El Meson with my girlfriend on 27-03-2024. We are quickly received by two friendly and smiling English-speaking waiters and we like the atmosphere... HERE ends the positive! The red wine for DKK 600 was not only warm but had to ask for an ice bucket with it. We ordered 2 menu de la casa (your tapas mene) ALL the food was totally tasteless! and the few hot dishes were obviously heated in a microwave oven! The main course was introduced as "you have ordered 2 times meat" uhh goddav what is it? it turned out to be entrecote, fair enough. Again it tasted of absolutely nothing! I stuck to my main course twice and simply did not want to eat it. When the waiter had to clear the table, he was not asked if it tasted good or if there was something wrong... strange service! I'm a trained chef and waiter myself and I can't sub fry enough, El Meson's food tasted cheap and like the tongue out of the window!

22/03/2024: I visited the restaurant with some friends and we had been looking forward to ordering paella. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The dish lacked taste, the portion was too small and the majority consisted of rice. After the meal we left the restaurant hungry and had to find a cafe where we ordered sausages to fill up. With a price of DKK 269 per person, the paella was not worth the money.

01/04/2024: Okay nice place The service did not take place, the waiters did not really talk to you and answered briefly if you had questions The food was okay, we waited 45 minutes for 5 dishes and if it takes that long you also have high expectations for the food American pancakes are not pancakes but a pancake with thawed frozen strawberries on it which is really disgusting The scrambled eggs were okay lots of flavor The croissant was probably a buy one and the sourdough bread was super dry

01/04/2024: Lovely brunch as always 🌸 Ordered a boost for DKK 69, tasted only of orange. I got a new one and it's good service. But, well, it tasted like orange. Eav for 69 kroner.

19/02/2024: Frokostbuffeten var ok til prisen. Betjeningen var mangelfuld: de havde ikke registreret min booking (på trods af bekræftelse fra dem samme morgen) der blev ikke sat flag på bordet trods gentagne henvisninger til, at vi fejrede en fødselsdag, betjeningen var langsom og systemet med at tilkalde personale via en knap på bordet, virkede tilsyneladende ikke.

03/02/2024: Buffet fra kl.11.00-14.00. Sådan ser buffet ud kl.13. Mad der har stået siden kl.11.00. Og bliver IKKE fyldt op. Vi kom kl.12.45. Vi spurgte om buffeten bliver fyldt op, hvor til personalet svare at de jo lukker snart. KAN IKKE ANBEFALE!!!!

25/03/2024: 5 people and we ended at around 500DKK pr pers. We had 3 dishes each and they were all really good. The passion fruit dessert was really good. Friendly and chatty waitress and waiter.

16/03/2024: Vi besøgte baren for cocktails i deres atrium en lørdag aften. Der var møg beskidt og efterladte glas ved mange borde, til trods for personale der bare sad bag baren. Vores "cocktails" til 130 kr pr stk blev serveret i plastic øl krus......

08/03/2024: Was there for a company event. Cozy premises, good food and good service.

15/11/2023: We were a large company, so perhaps contributing to the slightly sloppy service. However, the food was mediocre, all by itself.

07/03/2024: Incredibly bad service, easily the worst of all my dining experiences in Copenhagen. The vibes in the restaurant are fun and posh; the drinks were delicious and the charcuterie board was as well. It’s unfortunate the staff was so inattentive and almost avoidant - any time I received service, it was because my friends and I quite literally had to wave both arms in the air (yes, all three of us) to get attention from ANY employee (we never really had an assigned server, at least, that we knew of).

28/12/2023: The atmosphere is cozy and the twist between a restaurant and a gift shop is cool. The staff is very polite. The bagel itself is rather thin and the whole thing feels more like a sandwich.

17/11/2023: What a shame that this great local restaurant has turned into a money trap. It used to be a very good restaurant with lots of clients, including families with children. Now there are very few guests and it is obvious that the quality of the food does not match. It is FAR too expensive; the portions are too small (2 out of 4 persons needed to pass a pizza/kebab joint on their way home). When you pay almost 1000 DKK per person for food and wine you expect much more food and a lot higher quality. Starters came straight out of the fridge exept for the rissotto coming from the microwave. Service is practically non-existent.

17/08/2023: Been here several times, but today especially deserves a review. We were two friends, one of whom is both gluten and milk allergic, and solutions and alternatives were immediately thought of. We chose to go with the menu and alternatives were made for the allergy sufferer and everything tasted delightful. There were many different flavors and textures, so you had a wonderful dining experience. Really a cozy place and we talked about going back one evening and enjoying ourselves with drinks because the premises are also cozy. Thank you for a lovely evening.

27/12/2023: We were denied service here because we are Black. Waitress first didn’t want to seat us; then reluctantly showed us to table in near-empty restaurant. Without ever giving us menus or flatware, the waitress refused to serve our table. After she waited on other diners who came in after us, we asked the manager for another waiter. The next waitress rolled her eyes at she took our order. We waited 30 minutes without her ever coming back, even as she made multiple visits to every other table in her area. She and other waitstaff served every other patron, including many who came in after us. We eventually left and were given nasty looks as we left. When we asked the manager again, he pretended he couldn’t hear us. While we were standing in front of him. He clearly spoke English and we also spoke Danish, Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian, and German. Tried all those languages. Nasty place.

03/03/2024: A real castle, most likely a hunting castle with a soul that has not been renovated away. The soul sits in the walls. If you don't like floors creaking and doors not always closing completely, then don't travel here. But if you like real atmosphere, personal service and good food, this is the place. Equally good for work as a romantic getaway. I'll be back.

11/12/2023: We went to their Christmas market - it was pleasant enough, there was just too little to see. You could make it so that it was spread out a little more on the property

15/11/2023: Var på restauranten til julefrokost. 1. Anretning : sild, laks og fiskefilet Fiskefilet var perfekt = 1 stjerne 2. Anretning: hamburgerryg med grønlangkål. Hamburgerryg var skamstegt og grønlangkål ikke kogt færdig. Tarteletter var okay, men ikke noget at skrive hjem om. Flæskestegen kan ikke udtales om, da der ikke var flæskesteg nok. Så den var vi flere som ikke smagte, ikke iorden
