13/09/2025: Recommend this place! I had the breakfast plate, and it was loaded with everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - when I left my food unattended outside for a few minutes and some birds helped themselves, the team kindly brought me a fresh plate. Thanks a lot!

19/08/2025: We stumbled upon “Café Apropos” on the evening of the 18th — the grand finale of our 8-day Danish road trip. And I do mean stumbled: it was 9:30 PM, we were running late, and desperately hunting for something to feed the kid. The place looked stylish and vaguely Parisian, so we thought, “Why not?” Well… the confusion began with the menu and only got worse from there. If this was meant to be a Parisian bistro, someone forgot to tell the kitchen. The kids’ chicken? Marinated in a spicy sauce — because nothing says “child-friendly” like a surprise kick of heat. Once we realized that, we swapped it for a delightfully thin hamburger tucked inside a hollow bun. Gourmet minimalism, perhaps? Meanwhile, the “tapas plate” featured jalapeños, tortilla sauce, and a few mystery items that defied identification. And the “Parisian steak”? Oh dear. It was a dry hamburger (dear “chef,” ever heard of beef fillet?) perched on a slice of yesterday’s bread, surrounded by random vegetables that added nothing but confusion — and later, stomach drama I won’t detail here out of mercy. The one bright spot? Our waitress. Cheerful, friendly, and just as baffled as we were when the kitchen insisted, “Yes, the baby chicken is marinated in spicy sauce — but just a little spicy!” Final verdict: charming decor, baffling food, and a culinary identity crisis (yes, including pasta with chicken). Proceed with caution — or better yet, don’t.

26/10/2025: Nice aromatic flavor in tartare with popcorn and nice fried fish. Too much coconut flavor in bread, sauce and dessert.

24/10/2025: One of the best asian restaurants I've earen in. I was invited, so I don't know how much it cost, but it was worth every kroner.

22/10/2025: Unfortunately the fried fish and chips were almost inedible. Old, small ends of potato that have definitely been in the deep fryer many times. Fish with thick, thick breading that tasted like cardboard. Also an undrinkable red wine. The waiter was brand new and sweet and tried to help. But his colleague looked over at us and rolled his eyes!!! Ouch!

10/08/2025: Expensive and especially Terrible service!! they kept the music extremely loud inside where there were only our table. It was like a discoteque but we were having dinner, and they refused to lower the music upon our request. Never to come back. They totally spoiled our night, we wanted to have conversation in a restaurant and we found in a discoteque, but there are only tables so there is no point of playing loud music at all. They should change job completely.

11/10/2025: This is my first review ever! Absolutely amazing! I ordered a Jack D burger, medium. The beef was perfectly cooked and juicy! The fries was crispy and hot, they even gave you two times dip 💪🏼 Service was quick and very polite. Olga gave us a very good experience, thank you!

06/09/2025: Good and solid brunch menu including several items with chocolate. The chocolate-Hazelnut spread is absolutely delicious and so were the crepes. We had booked a table, but they didn't inform us, that we had to order at the counter... still the service was kind ad efficient.

12/08/2025: Central location, shop ok, toilet very clean and delicious. We were the only customers, and after ordering brunch at the cash register with coffee and a jug of water, it took 15 minutes before water and coffee arrived. The coffee tasted bitter and was one and a half. The water was with ice and ok. When the brunch arrived we were introduced to what it was and it was ok delicious, especially the truffle sausage and the pesto. The pancake with dark chocolate looked nice and delicious, but tasted a bit like it wasn't freshly made. The 3-4 people standing at the cash register/front kitchen were so busy talking that they didn't notice us leaving. In their defense, one of them came over when we had eaten the spread and said that we should just say if we wanted more water or bread. (without spread) All in all, a mediocre experience, hope others have had better luck

21/07/2025: Chill atmosphere, expert and friendly staff, huge selection of beers. 30 on tap. The tap beers can also be canned on demand. This is the oldest craft beer bar in CPH, a peculiar fact nugget. Such a wonderful establishment, loved everything.

18/05/2025: Ølbaren was my favorite stop on my entire Denmark trip. They have a great selection of beer, but more importantly, a warm, welcoming staff. Thank you so much Saint Nick for the hospitality!

29/09/2025: This bar is a super chill and cosy place to go for a drink. I went with my colleagues, and we had a fun night with plenty of cocktails. The drinks were solid – nothing over the top or mind-blowing, but definitely decent. You can tell they’ve put some thought and care into the menu

26/08/2025: Very nice location, lovely terrace, and excellent service. Highly recommend a drink during happy hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

17/04/2025: Skærtorsdags frokost i Ølhalle - bord bestilt for 3 mdr. siden - ingen plads før kl 14. Vi er kommet Ølhalle mange gange før. Første og forhåbentlig sidste gang blev vi forvist til baglokalet (slyngenstuen). Hvor man støder hovedet mod dørkarmen når man skal ned og hente mad, og selvom man er 177 cm. Derudover er akustikken helt vild dårlig når lokalet er fyldt. Man kan ikke høre sig selv tænke endsige hvad ens familie havde at berette. God betjening som altid - dog giver det nul mening (virker lidt som optrækkeri), man som gæst skal betale 399 kr. for smørrebrødsbordet fra kl 14 og “kun” 299 kr. før kl 14. Specielt når man for 3 mdr. siden ikke kunne vælge er bord før kl. 14. Deruover ervdesserten nu ekstra! - mener den (fx æblekage og lign) tidl. var inkluderet i prisen? Så samlet set var det en lidt for dyr fornøjelse for 4 voksne og 1 barn = 2600 kr. med øl og vand.

09/03/2025: En rigtig fed måde at opleve det klassiske frokostkøkken i DK. Her er alt lige fra en sildemad til hønsesalat og æggekage. Mums siger jeg bare 👍

29/05/2025: The bartenders who are here right now are amazing and efficient! Our friend's birthday is coming up and they made it a fantastic experience! Kudos to them!

04/05/2025: I waited in the bar for 1 hour to get served. The server (he had brown curly hair) he tolf me he was racist, which was why we couldn’t order earlier. Very unacceptable, and we will never go back.

11/10/2025: Nice, chilled bar. Lights in the middle of the tables are far too bright though and make you look away in discomfort

05/10/2025: We went there because my friend loves a Murphy's, and ya don't get many of them outside Ireland. The pub certainly had an atmosphere, a hazy, smoky atmosphere. It wasn't particularly nice, but I imagine if you liked pubs in the UK before the smoking ban, you'd love this place. It was quite depressing though, although if that's your style yeah, it'll be great. For me though, I was a thirsty boy, I just wanted some water, I was so parched after being refused water at the Tivoli Food Hall, and the guy first offered me a water bottle, then told me that tap water cost 5 Krone, I couldn't believe it, it was like my heart was ripped out. Plus in the morning my clothes smelled like cigarette smoke, and that reminded me of the water fiasco. Denmark is literally over such high quality groundwater, it's famous for being effectively immune to drought, and yet water from the tap costs money!? A bloomin' outrage.

16/10/2025: A very unpleasant experience- both as a guest and as a human being. I visited this resturant yesterday and was unfortunately very disappointed. The food was completly bland, the quality of the food was a big no and was far below what you expect for the price. That alone might have been forgivable, but something else made the experience worse. During my visit, I saw one of the staff members come out visibly shaken and in tears. She seemed very upset and overheard her saying she was treated unfairly. It was upsetting to witness, and I couldn't help but wonder what's really happening behind the scenes. This didn't feel like a respectful or caring environment, not for the guests and certainly not for the employees. Sadly the whole place comes across as more of tourist trap than a restuarant that values quality or people. Highly recommend to keep walking down the street.

12/10/2025: Oldest family owned restaurant in Nyhavn. Food was great. Service fast and friendly. A must do.
