29/11/2023: A great place for a friendly competition of ping pong. The crowd is always on. But that might not be your thing so the upstairs might be something you want to avoid then. But fear not, there is a downstairs where you can hang and have that catch up in between the rounds. Prices are good, cocktails are not strong at all but tasty. Average for Copenhagen

25/11/2023: Joined with a group...was a bit disappointed at first, expected more than a single table, but in the end it was super fun with great atmosphere and friendly strangers. :D

28/03/2024: Was at El Meson with my girlfriend on 27-03-2024. We are quickly received by two friendly and smiling English-speaking waiters and we like the atmosphere... HERE ends the positive! The red wine for DKK 600 was not only warm but had to ask for an ice bucket with it. We ordered 2 menu de la casa (your tapas mene) ALL the food was totally tasteless! and the few hot dishes were obviously heated in a microwave oven! The main course was introduced as "you have ordered 2 times meat" uhh goddav what is it? it turned out to be entrecote, fair enough. Again it tasted of absolutely nothing! I stuck to my main course twice and simply did not want to eat it. When the waiter had to clear the table, he was not asked if it tasted good or if there was something wrong... strange service! I'm a trained chef and waiter myself and I can't sub fry enough, El Meson's food tasted cheap and like the tongue out of the window!

22/03/2024: I visited the restaurant with some friends and we had been looking forward to ordering paella. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The dish lacked taste, the portion was too small and the majority consisted of rice. After the meal we left the restaurant hungry and had to find a cafe where we ordered sausages to fill up. With a price of DKK 269 per person, the paella was not worth the money.

17/02/2024: The atmosphere and attention is the best in the area. The food is good, the coffee is very standard but the price is half that in the downtown area (cappuccino at 37kr, compared to the 54kr they ask for in the city center). 16/03/2024: I had Afternoon Tea here today. It was insanely delicious and really nice service. Great recommendation for chocolate lovers. I got a vegetarian version without any problems, even though it's not on the card.

22/03/2024: I wholeheartedly recommend this place. We found them by accident, while drinking canned food in a cafe to warm up. At first glance, the place looks like an ordinary bar, but you can get there not only snacks and beer, but also delicious warm drinks and sweet desserts. We decided on a cake, a muffin, hot chocolate and "tea". The pastries melted in your mouth and were served warm. The chocolate was closer to cocoa than real hot chocolate, but it was still very good. The tea turned out to be a delicious infusion of lime, mint, honey and ginger, which warmed us up incredibly on a windy day. A big advantage is that it is located close to the David Collection and Rosenborg Palace. The prices were also not very high for Copenhagen.

20/03/2024: We went to Copenhagen for one day, and this was literally the first restaurant that we went to. It's more like a cafe, but it also functions as a restaurant because it serves amazing food. We went on a Saturday evening around five o'clock, and it was amazing. It was already packed, with a football game going on inside, creating a lively atmosphere with many young people. Outside, despite the cold weather, there were also a lot of young people sitting outside, having fun and drinking, which I love. It reminded me of the hustle and bustle in London and the lively atmosphere of Friday and Saturday nights there. I had the open sandwich with avocado, and my fiancé had a burger. He said it was one of the best burgers he's had. The prices were amazing. We each had a pint of beer, me with my sandwich and he with his burger, and we paid around 25 pounds for everything, which is a great price. The only downside was that our dishes didn't come with any sides. But other than that, everything was amazing. The food was ready quite quickly, and the place was clean and lovely inside, so we really liked it. We'll definitely go back. It's a great casual place.

13/03/2024: Great place around a corner with the scandi vibe. Perfect stop in the morning for a coffee or even a breakfast. Service was great and the breakfast was an excellent introduction to Denmark and puts you in a perfect mood for a day exploring the city. A highly recommened stop if you're lucky enough to have your hotel nearby!

22/02/2024: I was here on a Tuesday. As I'm not from Denmark, I don't know if Tuesday are usually this quite in restaurants, because the place was empty! The Food however was really good. The beef was nicely cooked, the short ribs fell off the bone and the Jurusalem Artisjok was very tasty. I do have to duck off a point dor the service. The waiter was probably very bored due to the lack of customers and that showed. Conclusion: even though the place was almost empty, don't let it hold you back to eat here!

31/03/2024: I was in this bar a few years ago, I remember it because I met a very friendly and approachable bartender. I drank a good beer in front of the Champions League football match. Typical Danish atmosphere, full of friendly people.

02/04/2024: Cozy local traditional cafe/restaurant on a rainy evening, with a tabletop candle. The food was pretty good, a notch above simple. Portions were filling. Service was friendly.
