14/01/2025: There were 4 of us and everyone was fully satisfied. It was super delicious and nicely decorated. Definitely worth a visit!

06/04/2025: Nice cafe in Aarhus, closer to Trøjborg, we sat outside as the weather was nice. The food was really nice and fresh, sweet service and good atmosphere.

24/02/2025: Nice spacious premises, friendly service - but the quality of the food is lacking. I ordered the Texas burger, which unfortunately cannot be recommended. The bun was so hard that it was difficult to cut through, the steak was cooked so hard that it was tough to bite into, and the guacamole was tasteless. The children's dish came with a single tomato and cucumber, and otherwise the fries were swimming in a lake of ketchup and remoulade. It was unfortunately a regrettable experience when the premises and service otherwise add up to more.

02/03/2025: Poor acoustics when there are many guests.. the food excellent. Right in the city center.

20/02/2025: Came with wife and two children. The food is below the standard of what you would expect. I got their own burger. Tasted entirely of barbecue sauce. The steak, which was dense and dull, tasted of absolutely nothing - guess they are bought pre-formed and frozen. The bun was tasteless, but fine in texture. The fritters were really well fried and really good. OK operation. They forgot the drink card but quickly brought it. Busy but not rushed. The wait for the food was short, which is always good. Doubt I'll be back though. The price is not commensurate with the quality of the food, which bears the stamp of having been bought ready-made and simply heated and put together in the kitchen.

10/02/2025: Et helt fantastisk sted, som en autentisk fransk bistro med de lækreste råvarer. Et godt og overskueligt menukort. Sødt personale, der kunne være lidt mere opmærksomme. Jeg kommer her med min veninde igen og igen. De har kvalitets-vine, der selvfølgelig koster derefter, men det betaler vi gerne. ******

11/01/2025: Et fantastisk sted med mange variationer i atmosfæren. Maden levede mere, end op til forventningen, ift burger & pomfritter. Blandt andet hjemmelavet løgringe & pomfritter. Var meget imponeret & kvaliteten er bestemt højere end prisen.

02/03/2025: Almost empty on a Friday night. We wanted to order some snacks, but you couldn't do that. The staff were more busy cleaning up and getting home. Crumpled paper on the tables. Dirty and worn toilets. A boring experience.

14/02/2025: Not particularly cozy anymore. Unhygienic that cutlery is on the table and does not come clean from the kitchen. Fine salt in a small glass is also unhygienic as it was dirty

12/03/2025: Brunch was really delicious and with a simple concept - each dish on the menu costs DKK 30, so we got a bit of everything (price does not apply to drinks). Especially the Waffle and Egg Benedict were good. Nice brunch experience, but we waited for almost 30 minutes before we could order. They claimed it was busy, but many of the seats inside were empty. One of the waiters had a bit of an attitude when we asked about plates When we arrived they didn't have enough menus so we had to look at our phones. A bit chaotic, but the food and price made up for it.

02/03/2025: I got a SW Burger, a sticky bun with a slice of salad, 3 red onion rings, two slices, I think they were pickled, a thin slice of cheese and a small layer of deresing and a well done steak, French fries with two types of dipping, DKK 165. ,😁 Hmmm I got a better burger for cheaper money. 2 stars might be a lot, but my girlfriend said I should behave myself.

18/01/2025: We were a party of 20 for brunch, where 2 had unfortunately fallen ill on the day, and you had contacted mcale at opening hours and canceled for these 2. Food and atmosphere were okay, but we are asked to pay full price for the 2 who did not show up and are met with very poor service from the staff in question who insisted on their right to charge for the 2 who did had canceled. After a tedious and in our eyes unnecessary dialogue, we ended up having to pay for one of the 2 guests who had not turned up. I don't think it's fair to charge for 2 guests who have canceled their visit to the restaurant from early in the morning. There is no question of non-attendance, and on the call where it was announced that there were two who could not participate anyway, nothing was mentioned about an extra fee. It ruined the experience for us at mcale.

04/10/2024: So.. we had received a gift card for "Luxury brunch for 2" We are a family of 5 but spoke to the owner (I think) and he said we shouldn't buy another gift card. "Then I'd rather give you the discount here." We order food and have to pay on top of that for drinks. (It makes good sense). The food was bland and dry. Everything tasted like the cheapest on the market. The scrambled eggs were definitely from a carton and have a sticky sweet taste. Cheap juice, boring coffee. (The food cannot be recommended) When we have to pay, we talk to him about the fact that it says brunch for 2 people and he says that this is the value we get and not the NOK 179 the brunch costs per person. (It should be said that smartbox currently runs 20% on their boxes) Well, but he thinks that it is SMARTBOKS that does not write it correctly. I'm asking if they shouldn't get it fixed. He thinks that is not his problem. I go up with the gift card and NOK 420 because I calculate that this is what we owe if we got the 20% on the food that he said when we entered. But nahhhh... we had to give NOK 750. I try for a long time to explain to him that it was not the agreement. He gets insulted and is not to be talked to. I say I just buy a gift card (with a 20% discount) more then. With crossed arms and an uncomfortable attitude, he says "yes - then you have to do it." We talked about at the table that we had the feeling that he wanted to take our ass.. a bit like when you are in the south and a street vendor comes and wants to buy.. Only the woman who walked around the "restaurant" deserves the one star - the rest of the experience gets zero stars from me. Waste of time and the one time a month we go out to eat. Alas, it should be wasted on such a bad experience.!
