04/05/2025: Unbelievably good service.
Our waiter made the evening and this comfirmation fantastic with his commitment, welcoming personality, humor and twinkle in his eye.
He took ownership and it was with a big smile on his face every time something had to be presented or served.
He had it under control to that extent, and reached far beyond the edge with his wonderful personality.
It was 6 hours of pure pleasure.
Huge star for him ☆

24/05/2025: Unfortunately, I bought 3 kilograms of ground meat from butchery, but when I got home and weighed it, there was only 2.2 kg. I didn’t get a receipt, so I couldn’t go back or file a complaint. This really damaged my trust in this butcher, and now I’m even questioning the quality of the ground meat they sell. Very disappointing experience.
17/05/2025: One thing I say to anyone reading the reviews, “Stop scrolling just go before the queue starts!” 😂
The food here is excellent and definitely not overrated! Low price yet superb quality 💯
No photo - you all know what kebab and shawarma look like anyway!

25/05/2025: Had dinner with my wife. The concept with small affordable dishes is well received we had four servings and was very pleased.
Exciting his he’s with local fish and meat (Tatar) one dessert and a glass of good wine.
A relaxing dinner with high quality and affordable prices.
We will visit again soon

30/05/2025: Här har vi landat många år, efter en sedvanlig cykeltur på den danska sidan. Tyckte redan förra året att maten försämrats, men denna gång har jag egentligen inga ord. Fläsksteken som varit riktigt bra, har vi gett upp och provade i år Schnitzlen, som varunder all kritik.
Det enda som återstår är att ta en öl på deras underbara uteplats. Så synd.
15/05/2025: After visiting Louisiana we visited Gl. Humlebæk Kro, but we probably should have stayed in Louisiana's restaurant.
We paid 330 kr. for a minimal and flat omelette for two with sad smoked pork and some slices of tomato on top. When we drove home we talked about whether we shouldn't have had a pan each. But it was too late. But in no way worth the money.

Near the lake and nature 🌸
05/06/2025: One of my absolute favorites in my "own backyard". Sørup Is & Kaffebar is a big summer hit. There is a large selection of ice cream, but especially many delicious varieties of sorbet ice cream - and the optional menu is an extra plus with 6-7 types of sprinkles - also the slightly more rare chocolate dip. I can highly recommend Sørup Is as an evening out, on a ride on the racing bike, motorcycle ... well actually just whenever you are nearby.
Fun fact: A "Sørupper" with 12 scoops, soft ice cream top, cream bun etc. is the king. for +125. kr. Wellcome.

09/10/2024: Atmosphere was wonderful. Very nice and relaxing. Was a perfect dinner with my boyfriend after work. We could just sit, chat and relax together while eating very delicious food. Lady working behind the counter was very kind and friendly. Very happy to found this place 💙

15/05/2025: First the good: the location is fantastic, the building is really charming, and the pancake we had for dessert was pretty good.
The rest was a sad experience. The sandwiches were bland and in no way worth the prices they charge for them. Their skipper toast was downright disgusting; a tasteless mass soaked in a thin liquid of some kind. The whole thing cost around 900 kr for two people, and we honestly felt ripped off.
In addition, the waiter was, to put it bluntly, arrogant and we didn't feel particularly welcome.
Unfortunately a disappointment. But a nice place, as long as you don't get anything to eat.
15/05/2025: Really nice place to eat in a royal setting with a view of the lake on the 1st floor on the edge of Fredensborg.
Came for lunch on a weekday and chose the menu of the day which consisted of fried plaice with shrimp and mayonnaise. This was followed by chicken salad.
And dessert. Pancake with orange and crispy crackers.
In short, Danish smørrebrød. Nicely presented and tasty.
This was eaten in cozy surroundings.
Noise level a little too high.
Beautiful view of Esrum lake and the turbulent water.
