24/08/2026: Impressive wine list, nice location (unexpectedly this quality in a small town and right by the water), beautiful dishes, and attentive service. We had a delicious meal. The only downside was the veal schnitzel: too dry/firm, although the sauce (with cherries) served with it was very lovely.

12/01/2026: Maybe it's good. But the service is far too slow. I stood behind those who ordered. I never made eye contact with either of the 2 waiters, neither before nor after it was my turn. I doubted if they had seen me. Since I couldn't wait any longer because of the train, I left without having achieved anything.

13/09/2026: ★★☆☆☆ ★★☆☆☆ On 13 September 2026 at 11:35 am, we wanted to have lunch in the garden as a family—a full meal, not just a coffee. However, we were told that no service was available outside because it was too cold. The temperature was around 18°C, which we found pleasant, and we would have been happy to sit outside. There were only a few guests inside and, as far as we could see, four young members of staff, all approximately 20 years old. Given how quiet the restaurant was, we found the decision difficult to understand. From a business perspective, we were also surprised that the restaurant would turn away guests wishing to have a meal in this way. In our view, someone who personally bears the financial responsibility for a restaurant would probably weigh such a decision differently. We would have appreciated more flexibility and a more accommodating approach. On 13 September 2026 at At 11:35 a.m., we wanted to have lunch in the garden as a family – a full meal, not just a cup of coffee. However, we were told that no outside service was available because it was too cold. The temperature was around 18°C, which we found to be pleasant, and we would have liked to have sat outside. Inside, there were only a few customers and, as far as we could see, four young waiters, all estimated to be around 20 years old. Given the few customers, we had difficulty understanding the decision. We also found it strange from a financial perspective that guests who wanted to eat were being turned away in this way. In our opinion, someone who is financially responsible for a restaurant would probably have assessed the situation differently. We would have liked more flexibility and friendliness.

07/09/2026: Hidden gem - we were there with some guests in the evening a few weeks ago, and had their set menu (changing according to the seasons and the ingredients available) consisting of 2 snacks and 3 courses - starter, main course and dessert. Really delicious bites for snacks, and especially the main course (at that time chicken, corn and chanterelles) was excellent. It's all a bit understated, but each dish contains a lot of elements and there is solid craftsmanship behind it, and you can taste it on the plate. The warmest recommendations from here - and we left the table very full.

30/07/2026: The interiors are much more charming than the exterior. A traditional inn with decent food. The gravlax is delicious, tender, and flavorful. You should visit the men's restroom for a melting pot of great photos.

04/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have to share my experience, because it deserves all 5 stars – and then some! I have eaten pizza in many places, but La Conte Pizzaria in Fredensborg has set a new standard. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles, a good atmosphere and a service that really makes you feel welcome. The pizza was nothing short of fantastic. The base was perfectly crispy, the ingredients were fresh, the cheese melted exactly as it should, and the taste was top notch. You could really feel that love and pride had been put into the work. And then there is Burak… Hold on! Not only did he make a pizza that tasted like a dream, but he was also incredibly sweet, welcoming and had the biggest smile. He radiates an energy that makes the whole experience even better. You would almost think that the secret ingredient in the pizza was his charm. 😄 It's rare to meet an employee who is both so professional, friendly and at the same time makes you look forward to coming back. If Burak makes the pizza, you can be sure to be happy - both your taste buds and your mood will be spoiled. I will definitely come back again and again. Big praise to the entire team, but an extra big thank you to Burak for both the fantastic pizza and the great experience. If you're considering where to eat in Fredensborg, don't think twice - go to La Conte. You won't regret it!
