28/02/2025: We celebrated my father's 90th birthday. There was a welcome drink and 4 courses afterwards. Nice room with plenty of atmosphere, low ceilings and a nice view out to a beautiful afternoon sun and a staff who performed optimally for the guests. Tastefully arranged and the waiters were good at serving between speeches and songs.
Rungsted kro contributed to an unforgettable 90th birthday. Thank you🫶
Few guests wanted a different menu. In the course of 10 minutes, a fish dish with greens was served. Fantastically fast and decoratively served.
17/02/2025: Maden var som sådan ikke dårlig den var bare kedelig. Rørt tatar med kapers, dijon og peberrod – tre ting der i sig selv smager af ret meget – kunne overhovedet ikke smage nogle af delene. Kalvemørbrad fin nok bare kedelig. Æblekage bestod af en slags sandkage med lidt æblegrød ved siden af – hos mig falder det ikke under kategorien æblekage. Igen – ikke dårligt men bare kedeligt. Hvis Dining week skulle bruges til at lokke kunder tilbage så slog det fejl hos os. Og en lille sidenote … 60 kr. for 0.8l vand, det er sgu i overkanten!!

28/01/2025: Mega delicious and authentic food as well as super present and polite service. Perfect as a takeaway but also a fine restaurant. No alcohol is served. EVERYTHING tasted heavenly. A really good experience that can definitely be recommended.

30/11/2024: I can only share my feedback regarding the food, average nothing special for an overrated price. I even got a piece rubber in my soup.(Lentil soup)
The supposed to be lamb biryani is rice with vegetables that has nothing to do with the taste, not to mention that they over charged me, paid more than on the meniu.
This restaurant is a disappointment for the food industry!

05/03/2025: With a business dinner party where we went ala carte. I wanted light, and being at the harbour I wanted fish, so ordered Lobster Bisque and Bouillabaisse. Shortly after a very nice lady came down and said "you do know it's the same, the lobster bisque just has added cream and is smaller"... Mkay, it is normally two different recipes and taste profiles, but I guess that is one way to keep cost down. So instead I ordered bisque and then wienerschnitzel.
The bisque: Underflavored (I guess to be able to suit a bouillabaisse too?) and under salted.
The wienerschnitzel: A bit boring taste profile, a ton of tasteless peas and a boring potatoes. Oh, and when I asked for extra anchovies they brough me horse radish.
Do not recommend.
28/02/2025: Delicious fresh fish and prawns, we had ordered but then got a plate with fish and remoulade, when I mentioned it, the waitress took it and went to the kitchen, we talked about how we probably got a new one since the fish was in the remoulade but no, the same plate just with a bowl of prawns on it.... and without mayonnaise so I had to ask for that too, 1 piece of smørrebrød for 175 so it should work if you want to speak well and recommend you. And I'm so used to the staff saying thank you this time instead of bickering amongst themselves.
Nice not greasy chicken salad.
